| Yeah I guess if you did have more than one or two dogs the deposit could get outrageous but you don't have to do all your dogs. Even if you have two you can just pick one to do this time and next time do them both or just do the other one. And really if people don't want to pay the deposit they could wait until next time and try to have enough posts then. I personally think that even the fact that there is a gift exchange is pretty cool I mean a lot of people have worked hard to make it work and they are just trying to get all the kinks out with the rules and deposit. I agree that the deposit (and stuff that goes with it) may be steep but I kind of look at it like the gift exchange as a right you have to earn, not something that is just handed to you. Really no one wants anyone to join just so they could do this then run off. People spent a lot of time and money on the last one and I really would rather my time and money be spent on someone who is really going to be here for a while, because after all it is the YorkieTalk Gift Exchange not the whoever feels like it come and play gift exchange.

I agree! Well said. We just want to try to watch out for the people that DO participate. As a reassurance to them that their buddy won't run off and if in any case they do, they're still covered by a deposit. The maximum number of dogs you can have participating is 2. If you have more than 2 dogs, you can have them take turns throughout the year with the gift exchange. You can register 2 dogs now, and 1 or 2 dogs during the next gift exchange. Or, if you cannot afford the deposit for both dogs to join at once, you could have them take turns as well. | |

| I understand why you have the deposit, and I have no problem paying it, but I do not have a paypal account at this time because I had a very large dispute with them and was wondering how I will pay the deposit?
