| Hi, I'm newbie here. I have a question I'll be picking up my lil boy yorkie next in a couple of weeks (xmas/anniversary gift for me and xmas gift for my 5 yr old lil girl from my husband) and I was just wondering if anyone would know how big would my puppy be if his mom is about 9-10 lbs (private owner/breeder was feeding the mom some human food I believe that's why she got big and the dad is about 5 lbs? I'll be naming him Logan. And also is it also necessary to dock tails and ears??? I just think its too cruel =-( ...plus what kind of food should I buy a yorkie pup. This is the very 1st time I'm getting a yorkie pup. Please advise. I apologize for all the questions. Just wanted to make sure I'm doing everything right. Thanks so much! Take care |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | as for weight ya just never know...I have a 3.5 pounder from a 5 and 8 pounder...anything can happen! No, you do not have to dock tails, infact in many countries it is illegal! You do not dock a yorkies ears they will stand on their own if you just keep the hair trimmed (that helps anyway) as far as food...I suggest a holistic food like Merricks, Innova, Canidea, or Orijen. Most can be found at local pet supplies. Id stay away from the commercialized food being carried in grocery stores and stores like pet smart. Just my opinion!
