| Making pjs Hello there fellow sewers. Yesterday I finally bit the bullet and sewed a pair of pjs for Wallee's mom. I have a couple questions for anyone who has made them. First of all, is there a trick to working with the fleece to sew the hems straight? Also, I find hemming the belly side a little tricky. Any tips to make that any easier? I decided to try a flannel pair today and realized that the flannel has no give so I am using ribbing for the neck. I have had lots of people ask for them but do find working with stretchy material very tedius. |

You and me both Cindy... you are braver than I am. I have yet to even attempt to make a pair. Plus I wouldn't even begin to know where to start. Hope you figure it out and get some help from someone who does them. Maybe Melanie or Aymee, they both make them. My only suggestion would be to try a sweatshirt type of material. It has plenty of give/stretch to it, come in a couple different weights and I think would be much easier to sew with.

| If you use flannel you'll probably have to use snaps of Velcro on the chest area. I've done it both ways using the ribbing for the neck. I like to work with fleece better. Use a ballpoint needle and you'll have an easier time sewing the hems.

| Thanks for the tips. I think it will just take a little more practice. I just get a little frustrated the way it rolls and find it a little tedious. |
