| Are you doing one each month? If so, do a summer theme for May and a 4th of July theme for June.

one each month, now that will be a challenge. Here is a thought, since the window is short for July 4th and summer and since some people make two anyway, why not have two challenges at the same time. This is my idea, you can chose one or both themes and then we recruit two non sewing volunteers to each do a smile box one for Patriotic and One For LAZY Days of Summer. This way the sewers can sew and non sewers can still be part of the fun. Oh and the fun thing about being the smile box designer is you get to see all the outfits first I really think it would be fun to keep the boxes separate since there are different graphics and music available for each theme. So what do you guys think?????? Please jump in if you want to be a smile box designer

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I agree #1 each month would definitely be a challenge !! So what your saying Donna is / We could have the two different themes and do the sewing at the same time but post the smilboxs during the different months. June & July ? Im in on the summer theme, but I've already done a July theme so I may not do that one. The smileboxes are very time consuming. Some people dont have the time to sit down for hours and hours to do one. Plus there is the editing that has to be done, so if no one else can get it done I will be happy to do them.

| Dawn I guess I was thinking about posting them at the same time, but I like your idea of perhaps spacing them a little bit apart. Perhaps post the July 4th one right after the challenge ends sort of the last week of June and then the summer one a couple of weeks later. I just find sometimes it's easier to sew a couple of things at once and since many people wanted to do more then one we might has well have two themes especially since most people probably do not want multiple 4th of July outfits. I was hoping you did not feel like I was taking your job away on the smile box, I just thought perhaps you would like a break since you will be sewing as well. But that would be awesome if we did not get any volunteers to make any of them Michelle, do you want to start the thread for the new challenges and set the rules. LOL I am trying not to always be the control freak and take over, so I think it is a good idea if we take turns.

I would love to participate but I made a major mistake in the drapes I made for my daughter and her bf so I have to concentrate on that before anything else. LOL

| I know we need the rules. maybe Michelle does not want to be in charge of this one, after all I did not ask her I think it could be make want you want just go with the theme. I am at the point that except for only a few special events I am only going to be making what I call harness dresses. which to means a shorter skirt not a full blown dress. For some reason I don't feel as silly when Lola wears them, plus I think she looks cuter in them and they are not as hot. I have two dresses I bought from people that I have cut apart to turn in to harness dresses.

| Uh oh - You have officially been invaded by the stash monster! Warning, it's appetite is insatiable. The monster requires frequent feeding. Occasionally you will be forced to put it on a diet, as it will begin to consume more and more space and organizational time. The monster must have living space with room to grow, and toys to keep it happy. It favors coordinating threads, buttons, ribbon, and sundry other embellishments, which of course will require their own dedicated space. Welcome to the addiction!
