| I've been knitting ZoE a few sweaters lately, and always seem to knit a hat to go with it (even though she rarely wears them...cos let's face it, while cute, they aren't really practical). The sweater by itself just looks so plain & the hats just seem to "make" the outfit. But I'm thinking a hair bow would be more practical, and if I knitted it, it would maybe go with the sweater better than a fabric bow. Not got a clue how though, so figured I'd see if anyone does them & has any tips, before I try to wing it...as my winging it usually results in at least 5 attempts and hours upon hours of time. Thanks ![]() Here's the cute, but oh so impractical hats

| Did you try just knitting a small rectangle or a square, then bunch it up and tie it in the middle? (That's how I make fabric bows)

Also, I'm figure out, smaller needles will work better, as it makes the rectangle a little more rigid. I'm used to using stiffener on fabric bows to keep the shape, but don't think that will work on a knitted bow. Thanks for the suggestion

I've made a couple...they just don't look good. The edges don't look right. I'm gonna put a sweater on ZoE & a bow using the same yarn, after her bath tonight. I'll post a pic a lil later.
