That's what I'm trying right now. Taking a few times casting on & knitting a few rows, only to discover, bow would be too big or too small, undoing & trying again.

Also, I'm figure out, smaller needles will work better, as it makes the rectangle a little more rigid. I'm used to using stiffener on fabric bows to keep the shape, but don't think that will work on a knitted bow.
