| Sewing/craft space. I saw a post from Cha Cha showing off her awesome craft room and I thought it would be fun to see everyones creative space. As of November 1st both my girls are out on their own so I had two empty rooms. The larger 18X13 room I took to create my sewing/craft room. I currently have carpet which anyone who sews knows is not the best flooring for a sewing room. I am planning on getting either hardwood or laminate at some point this year and I am certainly going to repaint and continue to get better shelving etc, but the following pics show what I have done so far. I have three desks. One for cutting, one for crafts and one for sewing. The tall shelf has mostly fabric and I am in the process of getting enough cardboard to create "bolts" of fabric which allows me to see what I have. On the cutting desk is a 60 drawer organizer that I purchased on sale for 17 dollars from Canadian Tire in the automotive area. It works great and costs much less than an organizer labelled as a craft organizer. On the short shelf I have a number of photo boxes that I store my large ribbon collection. In my closet I have drawers full of fabric, yarn and other various craft items. Its a work in progress and I hope one day to have it just the way I want it and to be able to know where everything is lol. Anyhow thats my creative space. I hope to see everyone elses

| wow you sure have a lot of stuff, looks well organize as well, love the idea of that large box from the auto store, you are so right, put the lable "craft storage" and the price goes way up. two rooms for crafting that's pretty niffty, hope the girls don't want to move back home besides sewing what type of crafting do you do.

| Wow, you do have a lot of stuff!! And so organized! I still have a ways to go to get mine the way I want it. Don't you just love escaping to your room? I cabbaged on to my room for the same reason, my dd moved on. DH wanted to use it for an exercise room and I was even OK with that except he never got around to it (until I changed plans for the room, LOL).

| So jealous! I found this huge, black receptionist desk for $25-ish at our government surplus store, so I sanded it and painted it with an exterior brown paint and use it for a little of everything. It has my cutting mat on one end with rotary cutters and such in the drawers below, and my computer and printer are on the other side. Our house is small as well, so I do what I can with the small space! I have an old sewing table (very small) with an Ottlight caddy as well. I'm working on figuring out a new storage option. It is impossible for me to stay organized with Rubbermaid tubs! All you can do is rummage.

| This looks wonderful so many great ideas. I'm in the process of redoing my craft space.. I have been working out of my office (I work from home) and it was going okay, but now I'm really trying to grow The Pooch House so I need better organizing. The one thing I notice about both your room and ChaCha's room is it is painted a light color. My office is a very dark red. So I'm going to repaint it. and I've also been on Pinterest trying to get ideas together |
