Work Room and spaces

I dream of being organized and having a room just to get my photos and needlepoint organized - I started organizing photos in the fall (I had a project for my sons yearbook at school to do) 25 years of photos ended up on my dining room table ..... bad bad idea!! It really became a stressor for me! I ended up making a bigger, unorganized mess - I got my youngest sons pictures out that I needed and packed the rest all away for another day - a day when I have a room like yours!! :-) and a desk! Loved all those cubbies!!
I think if you have a room like that you really can accomplish things - work when you can then close the door. That was my biggest problem with the mess on my dining room table - you came thru my front door and the dining room looked like a wreck!!

I do like the painted top. FYI, LOWES, Home Depot, Menards, etc. will cut any materials you need for free if you buy it there. Often times, it is much cheaper than purchasing lumber that's already cut the size you need. Of course, it leaves you with some excess materials to make more works stations.

I love it! Since we moved, I lost my spacious work room=/ It's a bit cramped in the den, but this desk idea is brill & Ikea is not too far away.
