| Need a flapper dress I am going to this big event in NYC, it's one of the pre parties before the Westminster dog show. It's a roaring 20's theme so I need a flapper dress for Lola, have any of you made a flapper dress, I can't decide if I should attempt this myself or if anyone else has any idea and would like to make it I am open to that as well.

| I believe Hobby Lobby has the fringe that would make this dress. I swear I saw it there last week?? You could make something really cute! Oh, and a cute feather headpiece!

| I would think making a simple dress (one that doesn't flare at the skirt) and then sewing the fringe on would be the best! Ooooo that sounds fun! |

| So just for fun I boogied flapper dog dress. Partycity had one on their website a red one for 12.99. I would think if you were handy w the sewing machine you could make a cuter one but at least that was an example! Good luck and please post a pic...I love flapper dresses!

| too funny i did not even catch the mistake, do you ever watch Ellen she has the funniest segmant called clumbsy thumbsy where viewers send in their auto correct text's, it is wet your pants LOL funny I am currently just starting to text and only do it via voice and sometimes that comes out so funny as well. I think I saw that dress, it's red fringe and looks sort of messy. My problem is I don't have a good pattern for Lola, I have tried copying dress tops I like but can't get it even. I friend of mine just told me today that she will make the pattern for me, so if that works out I am going to try my hand at something, Joann did not have great fringe selections and what they had was quite long, I will have to check Hobby lobby. thanks guys

| Bella Frill Dress (For Small Dogs) this a free pattern and you could replace the ruffles with the fringe. just a thought incase you need a back up.

| I am seeing fringe in 3-4 layers, running lengthwise, longer across her breast area, V-shaped in front, then getting shorter as it goes toward hind legs....and on one hind leg, you need to have "a slit in the dress that goes up her thigh, and peeking out from under the slit in her dress, is a garter, with bling on it!! Up across her back, (which the fringe hangs from, starting down on her sides, like the "skirt" on a schnauzer would be)the dress would be made of ....?? brocaide ??? fabric.....and to finish off the look, a baret of the same brocade with a feather and a "3 strand of pearls" hanging down, say, 3.5, 2.5, 1.5 inches on the side of her neck/face/below her ear. I can not really articulate what I am seeing...what I am seeing looks pretty dad gum cute, but as I am reading this description......OMG!!! |
