| ![]() So I recently started sewing (if you didn't already see my other posts) and when I was at my mom's house visiting I had her MASSIVE fabric collection at my disposal (back when she was a house wife she would (probably) go to the fabric store for a specific project in mind but then end up with lots of extras, I bet she's not alone there...) well I got home and got my BF to buy me a sewing machine and then what...I went to the store and got a couple of fabrics, but then either I am going to the store with every idea or making different things with the same fabric over and over. So I began to look for big bundles of fat quarters....and ugh some of them get super expensive!! I found a big bundle of fabrics on eBay, and I won the auction for like $32 plus shipping. I was excited, but a little nervous because I had no idea what I was going to get, it could have been a bunch of ugly tiny pieces of fabric. Well, I got the package today and I was so excited! It was a constant surprise while I was taking everyone out of the bag! Some of them are whole fat quarters and some are fat quarters with a little cut out of them. And some are only long strips of about 5-6" wide. But not I have tons of new fabrics to make stuff with, so exciting!!! But this got me to thinking! We should set up some sort of fabric exchange! Like if you bought a bunch of one fabric and have gotten tired of it, or just pieces that you know you aren't going to use again, then set up a switch with another YT fashion-y member! That way we could get a "fresh" stalk of fabric AND get rid of those little scraps that you "might use one day" aka still good fabric, but will most likely sit there for a long long time taking up space! I don't know. Just a thought I had and thought I would put it out there.

| ![]() Good idea! I have several bundles I always meant to use, but I never will use them all. I have no problem trading.
