| OH, Kathy....I love the 1st dress too...it's Gorgeous (with a big G)  And you know how in love I am with the beautiful Zhoie dress All the details and the workmanship is amazing...you are so talented!The scallops adds such a unique look...LOVE it! Bitsy...I can't wait to see your girl in these Kathy dresses!!!

| You do beautiful work! I'm a quilter, but wish I could sew clothes. I tried pajamas for my maltese, but I failed big time. I guess we all have our talents : ) |

| Wow Kathy! Once again you have blown my mind with these beautiful dresses...So gorgeous! Maybe someday when I grow up, mine will be one quarter as beautiful... Question: How do you attach the little binding to the bow?

I put on my magnifying glasses (seriously). The pattern calls for the bow to be cut on the fold, so after I cut the bow out, I cut down the fold. Then I make the piping. Then with the bow right sides together, I slip the piping between the pieces, matching the raw edges of the bow and piping, and pin it, leaving a 2 inch opening to turn it right side out after I sew it together. When I sew it, I use a zipper foot, and I butt the lump of the piping up against the foot, and use my fingers to keep the piping on track. I sew as close to the piping as possible... the zipper foot allows me to see exactly where the needle will pierce the fabric, and I sew it very slowly. And the piping has to be notched to get it to go around the corners. I'll take some photos the next time I do one. Same method for the collar and the scallops, and to add lace, I sew it onto the piping first then slip it between the fabric.... Hope this helps!
