| ![]() Okay ladies, I am wanting to design some new fun sweaters for the babies. I am thinking about long sleeves, faux fur, ribbons and monograms. I thought it would be neat to get some suggestions from all of the fashion divas. What would you like to see in a sweater? What is your favorite sweater and why? What is the thing you most hate about a certain sweater and why? If I design a sweater and use YOUR idea some where in my design I will name the new designed sweater after your baby. Thanks for any help or suggestions you may give.

| ![]() I like a sweater that is easy to pull over Pita's head and doesn't come up too high on her neck, like a turtle neck would. I am obsessed with Fleur De Lis, maybe you could do a dressier version of the typical sweater with a faux fur trim around the collar of the neck & the bottom(backend edge at tail) of the sweater to coordinate with the color of the fleur de lis. Good luck, can't wait to see the new designs!! ![]() |

| ![]() Not a sweater but, I would love a short "vest harness" that is lined with silk or satin (to protect coat and support crochet) made out of the hairy crochet yarn. Velcro closure would work, but buttons would rock! Last edited by chattiesmom; 10-03-2011 at 08:00 AM. |

| ![]() I would love to see a ribbon woven through the crochet, ending in a pretty bow.

| ![]() I'm all about fit. For the most part, having a custom made item helps. This is the very first sweater I ever bought for Kaji. Attachment 354168 I love how long it is on the back and of course, that it has sleeves. ![]() Attachment 354169 Attachment 354170 Attachment 354171 If it isn't too long, it's incredibly short. It's odd to have a shirt that is a crop top on the tummy and long on the back. They're trying to cater to boys, but body shape is not the same for all. Would it be possible to have people with boy dogs to measure an inseam? Having mommies measure from the chest (right behind the front legs) to where they know their pups won't pee on the clothing. My pictures are not showing up. ![]()

No Longer a Member | ![]() My favorite sweater is a turtle neck, and long enough to cover Rizzo's back, with little elastic loops to loop around his back legs to keep the sweater in place. Also it is cut just barely high enough that he doesn't pee on it (not always, sometimes Rizz likes to pee upside down on bushes -- it's pretty amazing to witness). The only thing I would change about the sweater is I'd add sleeves, he has such long skinny legs. I have yet to find a sweater that covers his legs, and is long enough to cover his entire back, but short enough on the tummy side to not get pee on it. Just because he is a boy doesn't mean we don't like fur, I think he'd like something with a fur-lining and a high neck so the fur on the inside could be shown off around his neck, and even a nice little monogram letter on it. I'm not really into the "trucks and trains" type boy clothes that many clothing designers make for boys, I like more of a "classic male" clothing line (if that makes sense). | ![]() How about one that is slipped on like a harness where the feet are put in first, then it is pulled up over the back and fastened with buttons or loop de loos? (I will admit I do not know what a loop de loo is, but you are supposed to know, a loop and one of those ob long button thingies) ![]() Also, what about a sweater dress. Where the bodice is crocheted, then a skirt is attached by sewing it on, or could you knot tie a tu tu on? Or tie rag pieces to it? That would be so cute!

| ![]() A sweater where you can put the harness underneath and there is an area to have the leash... because collar are bad for our baby's necks. A sweater with a big rhinestone bow and then a fur trimmed hood. For boys, a brown, and 2 shades of blue argyle sweater with a turtle neck and a space high enough so they don't pee. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I like sweaters that have a little give, little sleeves would be really cute too. I love sparkles glitter anything glitzy on the sweater but it all has to be real soft and cuddly

| ![]() I would LOVE to find Levi a "manly" sweater. There are so many frilly things out there for little girl Yorkies (and they are adorable) - but everything for little boys is either too girly or very plain. Even something as simply as an argyle or plaid sweater in a boyish theme (like brown and green) would work. Other thoughts: I dislike "itchy" sweater fabrics for pups. I like comfort, warmth, and fit. Long enough down his back, but cut higher for his belly so he doesn't pee on it. I'd love to see something with sleeves...Levi has a few sleeved jackets I love, but no sleeved sweaters. ETA: I also MUCH prefer sweaters with a small hole for his harness D-rings to fit through. ![]()

| ![]() Hmmm, a sweater with 3/4 rolled sleeves and rolled neck. Nothing to high up on the neck and not a bulky yard, smooth and comfortable. I'm all about what looks comfortable for Zhoie to wear. She is ok in her harness or dresses, but the girl really likes her comfy tee-shirts the best for everyday wear. So, a casual rolled neck and sleeves sweater would be great and so warm for winter, everyday around the house ![]() Oh, and monogramed would really rock!

The girlier the better!! Maybe some lace added, faux fur for sure, bows, etc. Really, my all time fav is animal prints. Don't know how easy that would be to do on a sweater! ![]()
