I just went to a sewing machine store. I looked at the Brother Embroidery machine 780D.... I was amazed. It's soooo cool! I need one!

Granted, there's lots of machines out there but honestly for under $365 you really can't go wrong. I'm having a BALL!

I have the viking.. designer 1. I got it at least 8 or so years ago. It cost as much as a year of college tuition for one of my girls .. not joking I had a brother, but sold it to get the des 1.)
I did get lucky because I paid about 50% of the price because at the time I was working part time in a local sewing/fabric store and it was a floor model. It is an amazing machine.. but I am having problems with the embroidery tension. I guess I will have to get it serviced. It uses disk.. hey its old...the new ones use usb or connect directly to the computer
What I want now is a upgraded serger.... the one with 5 threads so I can sew like a real pro.... so I buy a 1500.00 machine to make a shirt I could buy for 5 ??

I love making quilts and dresses for my Remy and sb in the ge. I make a lot of rag quilts as baby gifts and regular quilting too.

I'd said once I'd sent my things to our Buddy for the GE I'd post a few more of the vests I've made. I actually made father/son of each of these for them.

Aw...they are all beautiful! You are so talented. I absolutely LOVE the embroidery! So cute in the outfits you make, great work.

I too, so want an embroidery machine! I really would like to have a Janome, but they cost so darned much. I keep telling myself for the little bit I would use it...hmmm.
I'll check out the Brother machines.

Oh, I too...would love to have an embroidery machine. I have my heart set on a Janome that does embroidery only, but man...the cost is outragous. Not nearly like a Viking, but still...

I wasn't finished with this in the pic but couldn't resist bragging on how cute our Bella is in her Bug sundress (with the Blingy Butterfly clip Michelle sent for her in the last GE) I love this style because there's no velcro
It'll have lace on the edge & maybe a few cute bugs if I can find the buttons.
