| It's funny you asked that. I was changing their bed today and afterward laid on the blanket with them and I'm telling you I had little tongues going in my ears, nose, eyes and everywhere. I think they might be warming up to me. LOL |

| Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Sooo Sweet! Gives me a little insight to what I have to look forward too. We just found out through xrays that my Lexie is having 4 pups...in just about a week from now. Can't wait. How's the little maltese doing? Or maybe I should just go check the other thread?

As for the little maltese, he's getting better at nursing but still needs supplementng. He finally hit 5 oz. this morning!!! After 17 days I just really need him to get a good hang of nursing so I can finally get some sleep.

We get so attached during this time that if it all doesn't work out saying goodbye is heartwrenching and dissappointing. I know this will be sooo hard for you. Remember the tiny Yorkie puppy I told you about? I nursed him for 5 weeks and he was up walking and playing and sometimes he would just fall over and I'd have to give him nutrical, then he would pop right back up and start playing again. He had the most loving and sweet personality. He had a large open fontenelle and possibly liver shunt, so when I took him to the vet he said it would be best for him to go peacefully. I just knew I couldn't do it, he was active, eating and full of life, how could I? But I had to think of his quality of life long term. They left me alone to say goodbye and I just loved on him and looked into his beautiful blue eyes till they took him. He is still in my heart and I still tear up thinking about him. But I now know that was what was best for him not me. I'm really hoping this will not be this little malteses fate, but if the time came that I knew it was better for him, as badly as I want him to survive, I will let him go for his sake. So just know if it's time to let him go,you will be doing it out of love for him. Sorry about the ramble....I'll be thinking of you and little Yoda.

| More than likely I will...just alittle bit of tweaking where the DH is concerned, he's got a huge heart so it won't be too hard. |
