| The Gangs eating gruel!! We are eating gruel and doing great at it. Charlene started the gruel off very watery, but now it is just soupy and we are eating 4 times a day, and still nursing with Mommy (Lexie). We are learning manners, whenever we put our paws on the plate, Charlene puts us back into the correct eating position. We continue to gain, and Mommy looks so much better since we are nursing less. Here are a few pictures of us eating like big girls and boys.

| Thats so awesome! They look so cute all around the gruel dish. The Amazing, adorable Seven.. how did you start them with the gruel? You said that it started watery. DId you put them near the bowl and dip your finger in it to try to encourage them to lap? When do you make it soupy? Then Thick? Sorry, but I have no idea

| Charlene, The babies are beautiful and getting so big. Sophies and Savannahs babies are also growing. One of Sophies puppies opened his eyes yesterday. I love that. Will post new pics tomorrow maybe as they will be 2 weeks old. It is good you have them eating. They must really be taking a toll on their mama there are so many of them. Not a bad idea to get them eating. I usually do not start mine until almost 5 weeks but with 7 its a great idea. Just curious how much are they weighing now? |

The first three days I wanted to make sure they were each eating, so I fed them individually. I put 10cc of very watery gruel in a syring and just held them and squirted the gruel near their mouths but in my hand. Only two needed to have "turtoring" and the other picked up on the food very well. The two that had trouble I just gave them an extra feeding a day so they got a little more practice. They are now all at the dish and gobbling up the soupy gruel. They are so cute, but get very messy. I will start to thicken when they are 5 weeks. Hopes this helps.....have fun feeding!

Can't wait to see the new pictures and eyes open...how exciting. Our 7 range in weight from 1 pound 2 oz to 1 pound 9 oz. The biggest is a girl that is just so rolly polly. The littlest boy is just a little stinker. He will not allow anyone or thing boss him around. The yellow girls knows if she squeels when all the others sleep that someone will come and hold her...she is soooo spoiled.

| Wow Charlene no wonder poor Lexi is getting so thin they are getting so big she probably can't eat enough to keep any weight on. It was a great idea to start feeding them. I see how 4 seem to overwhelm Sophie I cannot imagine if she had 7 coming at her. I will try to post new pics soon. Hope to get pictures today at 2 weeks. |
