| Yeah! You could go get some chicken wire for cheap from the local Menards or Feed Store.... And then just twist tie it onto the lower portion of the pen. I'd get it so that it's about a foot or so tall and just put it around the perimeter of the pen on the inside. |

| I let mom decide when to wean. When mom was nursing she was very healthy with no hypocalcemia problems. I knew when Mom was ready she would wean them herself. She nursed them until about 7 weeks old. I know this is gross but mom ate her food and then regurgitated it for the pups. She would start to get after them if they tried to nurse. I knew then that it was time to intervene and get the puppy food out. I think it is better to wait until mom is ready as long as everyone is healthy. Good luck to you.
