| i have a question my babies are almost 8 weeks old now. Chloe has more of a cotton coat and Cody more a silky. Chloes ears are both up but not codys. Is it because of the weight of the hair on his ears??? what should I do to get them to go up????

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | The ears from what I have seen will go up and down for a while until they are finished teething. But as I was told you should give him/her a head start on keeping them up by getting the weight off of them by shaving the fronts and the back. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your cuties.

| The groomer referred to that as tipping the ears.

| If it were me I would shave the entire ear front and back and then tape them and leave the tape on for a week. If they arent standing then tape them back up until they do. The cottony coats tend to be alot heavier than the silks so that could definately be the reason. The hair will grow back very fast. |

| I saw it pictured on a website once but dont know where it is and people do it differently. I use sports tape and tape each ear, just tape it flat on the front and back of each ear and then take a longer piece and wrap it around both ears. I didnt tape these ears but the girl I sold China to did it and this is what I mean more or less. I dont usually stick them right next to each other, I leave a little room between them though.
