| Lexie's Seven at Two Weeks Wow, it is hard to believe that Lexie's babies are 2 weeks old already. Lexie continues to be the best Mom ever. She takes care of all of her babies, except I change the bedding in the whelping pen once or twice a day. I also feed Lexie a few extra meals that are high in calcuim and give Lex that extra energy that she needs so desperately. I weigh each of the babies each night and am so proud of the gains that all the babies have made: birth order color sex birth weight 2 week weight #1 pink girl 6.2 oz 15.2 oz #2 blue boy 4.9 oz 9.3 oz #3 red girl 4.1 oz 9.9 oz #4 green boy 4.6 oz 12.2 oz #5 purple boy 5.1 oz 11.5 oz #6 orange girl 4.2 oz 11.6 oz #7 yellow girls 4.6 oz 13.4 oz Yesterday I got a new pair of clippers and Lexie got a very short hair cut. She looks adorable, and it makes it so much easier to keep her neat and clean while she takes care of and nurses 7 babies. I also did the other two adult dogs, just because I loved the cut on Lex and it is the summer in Florida. Again, thanks to all of you for all of your support during this whole ordeal. The puppies are the joy of our lives and I can't get enough kisses and puppy breath. I have attached pictures. The first one is of the whole gang nursing..bless you Lexie!! The second picture is of the pink and red girls, third of the yellow and orange girls, and the last one of the three boys. I am sorry for the quality of the pictures..I really do need to take a class in photoraphy!!

| The girls opened their eyes Sunday and the boys yesterday. Now they can see who is loving them. They are moving around so much now, and we are enjoying them so much.

| That is so wonderful that they are growing in leaps and bounds!! I can't believe that baby girl, she must be a real fatty, even my fatty babies weren't that big! But close! Lexie is such a good mommy! I know I told you I was making those litter bands, but I only got two done so far, I will try to get them done and bring them to you this week!

| Thanks, Karen. I will love the bands, but more I would love to see you and visit. I am at school Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday Jack has his shoulder surgery, so we will be home 24/7 after that. I can not believe how well the puppies are doing. I hate to say to much here, sounds like I am bragging, but I am doing nothing...it is all Lexie. How big are your puppies now? I guess I should drop by there too!!

| I realize that and I thank God for that daily. With reading some of the horror stories that could have happened, it is unbelievable that we got so lucky.

| This is like my favorite time of the day lately!! I get up about this time to feed Lexie and spend time with the puppies. Lexie likes her cottage cheese, goat's milk, and whelping pudding snack while I weigh and interact with each and every puppy without interuption. Tonight I made new ID color necklaces for them. The thread just got a little yucky, so they had to go. Come see us. Miss you!
