| Orphaned puppies update! Whewww, I finally have a little breathing room. The puppies are all snuggled up in their bed and sleeping with fat little bellys. I started the mush yesterday at noon and OH MY GOSH! Are they little piggies. I never dreamed that they would get soooooo dirty. Needless to say they got their 1st real bath with shampoo and all. They seemed to really like it though. I am still giving them their morning and night time bottles. They just seem to rest better. The Vet is amazed at how well they are and how FAT they are, especially Ms. Piggy. I just wanted to give you all a quick update. I am off to do the never ending supply of laundry. I am doing piddle pads but they still get their towels dirty. I have received so much support from all you and I cannot remember everyone's names but you know who you are. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!! Migualla, Ms. Piggy, Fat Albert, Eddie, Tinkerbell, Tallie. |

| Yes they do!!! I think until you raise a litter you dont realize just how much the Momma does for her babies. I know though that poor Shelbie would rather be here doing this for her babies herself. I hope she is looking down watching and see I am trying to do a good job in her place. I hope she sees what sweet babies she has and knows they miss her terribley as do I. I am still so sad and it is so hard to think about her. Here is a couple pics for you to see how sweet they are. |

| What wonderful news!! Good job! They really look like they are thriving! Little Shelbie would be so proud! Thank you so much for sharing them with us ... of course this is not nearly as good as playing with them would be, but it's the next best thing!!

| Those little babies are so precious. You are doing a wonderful job caring for them, and my deepest sympathies on the loss of your Shelbie. As someone else said, you have a part of her that no one can take away.

| Thanks for your encouragement! I am not sure what color you would call the 2 twins. They are getting darker and darker but still a lot different color than the 3 others. If anyone has any ideas as to what color they are I would appreciate it. Their hair seems to be of a different texture also. As for keeping any, well we will be keeping one or two. LOL My best friend is adopting one. I had some lady show up the other night that had heard about the puppies. She started asking me about papers and telling me she is looking for one to breed young! Apparently I was a little less than nice because when I came back in the house my husband said "well we wont have to worry about her coming back." I dont have a problem with responsible breeding at all. That was not what the problem was. It was that she didnt care about what they had been through or what happened to the mother she just wanted a little girl to breed young so she could have tiny puppies. She even said she rolls the birthday back by atleast a week and a half so they look smaller for their age. I am a little protective if you cant tell. I just want them to have really good homes or they will be staying their little butts right here with me!!! Migualla |

Little Shelbie RIP would be so proud of the good job you are doing raising her babies. I'm glad you blew that women off..I would not sell one of my babies to someone like her either.. She does not sound like a responsible person, let alone an ethical breeder. You have my phone number if you ever need to talk.. just give me a call. | |
