Newborn Yorkie Nursery Hi guys, we had a litter of 4 like 10 days ago. They are all fine and gaining weight constantly, they are between 10-12 oz now. But lately i noticed that their mom doesnt want to feed them as much like she was doing before, she would just walk away, and puppy or two would be sucking the nipple at the time. So my question is - how much of newborn puppy formula should i feed them? PLEASE and PLEASE be specific, like how many times a day, and how much in ml every single time, again PLEASE BE SPECIFIC as it would help a lot, since being a man and trying to nurse them is a hard job. Thank you very much.

First things first: Although I am not extensively experienced as a breeder, I have raised a few litters. The first thing I would do with a lactating mom whose behavior radically changes with pups this young would be to schedule vet visit to make sure all is well with mom. Please keep us updated on how the pups are doing and please share pics of your new yorkie family if you can - we love puppy pics

Hi & Welcome. I agree that Mom needs to see the vet ASAP as she may have an infection somewhere as in uterine or mastitis which could be deadly to both mom & pups.
