That's great!!! usually the shelters name them and then they may get a new name when they are adopted so it shouldn't be a problem. Love to see pictures. |
Quarantined is nothing to worry about. It just a precaution so that she doesn't have any illnesses that can be passed on to the other pets. Take it as a good sign that the foster family cares enough that they are evaluating her health and protecting the health of any other pets in the home. |
Hey everyone, well yesterday Jack seemed a little interested in her but today Jack wants nothing to do with her. God forbid if I put Dori on our bed while Jack is on there because he jumps to the opposite side of the bed and avoids her like she's the plague. Today she tried following him around but he just hasn't quite accepted her yet. I'm wondering if I made a mistake...Jack has been the only child for 4 1/2 years Yesterday she jumped on him while trying to play and he fought her off ( not aggressively but enough to show her that he didn't want to be bothered). Is this normal? I put their beds next to eachother so that they could get use to one another and yes they did sleep next to each-other today but that's about it, they didn't really interact :-( I hope I didn't make a mistake. |
I think they just need time to figure things out. I am no expert and have never had two dogs at once, but from what I have read on the posts here, time will help them sort out any issues. Congratulations and good luck! |
So, so happy for Dori, Jack and you. |

As long as there is no serious aggression by Jack to Dori you should be fine. Also, don't forget...Jack has claimed his territory for quite a few years and now someone new is here and he hasn't quite understood the concept of sharing or that sharing can be a good thing in the end...a lifetime playmate!;) |
Looking for breeders in NJ or PA I am looking for a good breeder in the Central NJ area or Philaelphia pa. I see costs for a female anywhere from $500 to $4000. I am looking to spend about $1500. Any info you have would be helpful, thanks. |
