Yalee's litter of 4 Hi, guys- I guess its time to move over this way from the breeder section. So our story goes like this- Yalee is the daughter of my little boy, & she just turned 3 yrs old on December 27th, we bred Yalee 3 times, Dec 22nd, 23rd & 24th, on day 55 she went to the vet & we determined we were going to have 5 puppies, well starting on Friday, Feb 18th throughout the day she was panting more than usual & wouldnt stop nesting, at around 11ish at night, hubby noticed the contractions getting harder & harder, finally we had out 1st puppy on Saturday, Feb 19th @ 1239AM, by 6AM Yalee had delievered 4 puppies & she was trying to push out the last one (I thanked God, I was responsible enough to go to the vet & do a Xray!) & she couldnt- At 745AM, we headed to the vets office where they did her xrays & we did see the last puppy, so they had to induce her & hope she pushed out the puppy, finally at 11ish AM she finally did but he/she was already gone, I didnt care- I already had 4 beauties at home & momma was now safe & thank god didnt need a C-section. She came home & as soon as I brought the puppies to her & got them to latch, mommy instincts hit right away. So here's what we got: Baby #1- Girl 5.4 ounces > wk 1 9.5 ounces Baby #2- Boy 5.5 ounces > wk 1 9.7 ounces Baby #3- Girl 6.2 ounces > wk 1 12 ounces Baby #4- Boy 5.7 ounces > wk 1 9.3 ounces To see all the pics so far you can click on this link, which is the official picture album online- Yalee Pictures We turn 14 days today (Saturday) & my 1st born already has 1/2 of one eye open, so hopefully its any day now. Ill be back soon with more updates, thanks everyone for all the amazing words you gave me in the breeder section... I know I am keeping one so far & in love with another, hubby isnt too happy but hey- they are MINE! So we have the youngest boy & girl going to an amazing home the week of mothers day.

What a week... Puppies are all doing wonderful, except one- our last born lil boy is sick, from what the vet says he may have Aspiration pneumonia, he started at 6pm Tuesday night, by midnight he seemed to be doing worse so we took him to the ER, & they said thankfully it wasnt kennel cough but maybe something viral, when i took him to my own vet the next morning thats when she assumed that maybe he drank milk & it went down the wrong pipe or something to that nature... they checked mommy for that mammary-something, I guess to check for bad milk, she was fine. They have him on Clavamox twice a day, his coughs this morning seem a little better but still. he is eating & becoming a fat lil boy like he should be. They will be 3 weeks tomorrow & they are all well over a lb each. Other than that they are great, I havent taken many pics this week b/c of everything we're going through but I def will get some 3 week old pics in tomorrow... I know we're ok, but the power of prayer is priceless, so if we can have a small little prayer for him, Id appreciate it!!! Ill b in touch!

Not much to update... I have been sick this week, but we finally finished Chunky Monkey's medicine & the dr says he's good to go... our 3rd born, 2nd female (biggest girl of the group) finally hit 2 lbs today... what a monster... Chunky Monkey is still 1lb 7 ounces, we havent weighed everyone else b/c the scale I have is a little too small for them. Also- we have started on the goats milk & mush, everyone is chowing down cept my little man, Chunky Monkey, I keep assuming his a couple days behind from the rest since he's so little, so Im hoping he likes the food soon, if not we'll have a picky eater! I will try to update the album soon... Thanks!
