Halle's terrific trio! 4 Attachment(s) Last Friday, April 9th, we welcomed Halle's new babies into our family. For those of you who don't read or follow the threads in the breeder's section, here is a link to the post announcing their arrival: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/3078154-post100.html Here we are, one week later and I am happy to say that mom and her 3 boys are all doing well. Halle is being a wonderfully attentive mom leaving them only for very short potty breaks. They are all nursing well and Halle has a healthy appetite also, keeping up with the demand the nursing babies put on her body. They went in on Tuesday to have their tails & dew claws done and though they voiced their dislike to it loud and clear, they all settled back down shortly after we got them home. Here are a few pictures taken during their first week.................. They have names.............................I guess 3 Attachment(s) The question was asked almost immediately by many......"What are you going to name them?" The first thing that came to mind was to use names that start with "A" for April, the month they were born in :confused:.............or maybe "spring" themed names for the season they were born in :confused:. One YT friend thought maybe we should call them Rob, Chip, and Ernie from the oldie but goodie TV show "My Three Sons". I kind of like that idea, but alas, before I got wind of that idea, I had already decided that since they were all boys, I would let my hubby and daughter come up with names to go with their favorite baseball teams/players; the Boston Red Sox for my hubby and the NY Yankees for my daughter. Pardon me if I get names/pronunciations, spellings, or any info wrong here. I'm pretty sure I've got it straight, but truthfully I have no interest in sports at all, so sports related information tends to go in one ear and out the other.:rolleyes: But, without further ado, let me introduce to you.............. 1st Born Attachment 314470 - Jacoby (for Jacoby Elsbury of the Boston Red Sox) 2nd Born........... Attachment 314471 - Jeter (for Derek Jeter of the NY Yankees) 3rd Born Attachment 314472 - Joba (pronounced like Jaba the Hut - for Joba Chamberlain of the NY Yankees........and as an added bonus, I'm told he is from our home state of Nebraska |

2 Weeks Old.................Already! 3 Attachment(s) What a great week it was for me! Home all week and enjoying every minute with my fur kids and the 3 new boys. Today marks 2 weeks since they were born and all three are thriving! They've been scooting where ever they want to be in their box and I've noticed within the last day or so them beginning to think about trying to get up on their legs. I walked into the room at one point today and noticed two of them with their heads held up kind of mouthing at each other. I'm guessing that they either thought each other may have been mama OR more likely I witnessed the very beginning stage of playing together.:p Anyway, the next 3 posts dedicated individually for each of their 2 week pictures. Jaba @ 2 weeks old............... 3 Attachment(s) Attachment 315091 ~ Jaba is our little guy. At 2 weeks he weighs 13 1/2 ounces. His eyes have opened also a tiny bit. Rose they are soooo cute....I love the one with them laying on their backs looking so content. Halle is a good mommie for sure. I looked yesterday for their two week pic but you must of posted after I signed off. Just cant get enough of those puppy pics...thanks Rose for sharing. |

Jacoby, Jeter, and Joba are 3 weeks old............... 4 Attachment(s) Well, I had to go back to work this past week :( so I wasn't able to enjoy every single minute with the babies, but I did spend ALMOST every single spare minute with them. :p Thankfully I have my adult son at home during the day to check on them and to make sure Halle gets her afternoon nourishment. She is being a great mom to her three pups and with her healthy appetite, she is looking healthy & well.........she IS healthy & well.:) The three boys totally opened their eyes to the world by the end of last weekend and this week worked on strengthening their leg muscles learning to walk on all fours legs. They're doing pretty well at getting their chubby little bellies up off the bed and even when they don't, they sure do get around with ease. It was no easy feat getting the pictures I took today; they wouldn't keep still except to sleep. :p They are also starting to discover each other as not only litter mates, but playmates as well.
