No Puppies Yet. I am really starting to worry. She Is laying around a lot...very tired...her apetite is about the same and temp is at 99.0. I haven't noticed any changes in her behavior.. She is laying all over me,,,but that is no different than anyday. I just wish it was over already...My poor baby is so tired and can't play and jump like we always do. Any encouraging words?

What is the day from her last tie? May be she is one that ovulaites (sp) late? Keep on loving her and watch her close (I am sure you already are). Can you feel the puppies moving? I hope that everything works out for you and her. I always try to think positive and look at the other good things going on. Has she been to the vet? Do you know how many to expect? If you are really worried that something is not right, call the vet and maybe bring her in. I hope everything is well. There are a lot of really experienced breeders on here that have really great advice. I hope you are getting puppy kisses soon.

I have felt the puppies moving around. I don't know how many there are. Abigail and Jasper (the baby daddy) tied up the day after thanksgiving. I Have decided that if she doesn't go by tommorrow night...I am taking her to the vet first thing monday morning.

OK guys I have to be honest. I really had NO IDEA what I was getting into when I bred Abigail. If I could go back. I would have NEVER done it. A good friend of mine is actually the mommy of Abigails mate. She had a big roll in talking me into this whole "Breeding thing". She assured me that everything would be ok. She is a good friend and I trust her. But now that It is all said and done, I catch myself looking back and worrying. I'm afraid Jasper was too big and the puppies will hurt my Abigail. I have posted a pic of the mommy and daddy together. please give me your feedback.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | ok, let's see, is a misconception that is the dad is bigger than mama the puppies are going to be big, mama will control the size of the babies until they are born. the size of the babies are determine by the lineage on both sides., take her to the vet and ask for an x ray, that will tell you how many babies you are expecting, and if her pelvis is the right size to acomodate the birth. do you have a whelping list of everything you need? also VERY important to have the whelping pudding, I usually make mine when my girl starts her labor. is super important that your girl gets calcium suplement every day. let me know if you have any specific questions and I will try to help you. |

Abigails temp is at 98.3 .... She is napping now. What would be a great meal to feed her after Labor? I have also studied up on aspirating the puppies and cutting the chord...with this being abigails first pregnancy..does that increase my chances of actually having to do these things...I'm sure she won't know what to do...The little angel practically thinks she is human. Any advice or help?
