| Davie and Petey's new additions - Sept. 5 Well many of you will never believe this but here it goes. It has been 2 years since I bred our females, but our life has settled and so I was going to breed whom ever went into heat first. Well Lexi did so we bred her...one tie because she has such big litters. Well 2 weeks later Davie went into heat and she is my 4 pound baby that threw beautiful babies......so I bred her also. (Yes a weak moment, not thinking at the time) Davie was due Sept 12. Well Lexi had her 8 puppies on Aug 27, and I was all mentally set for Davie to have puppies on Sept 12. Without any notice, whimpering, nothing, Saturday morning, Sept. 5 she would not come out of the kid's room so I went and picked her up and felt a puppy in the birth canal ready to be born. I race around, and got all the supplies together, sat down in the back bathroom so it was quiet, and at 8:47AM she gave birth to boy who weighed 4.2 oz and then at 9:20AM a 4.1 Oz female. They were both nice size and aquealling to my delight. I really thought I was going to have some premies, but they are both feeding and gaining. So with no futher ado......Davie's babies!!

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Awww Charlene, Davie's babies are so precious! I am happy to hear that she whelped so well and that the babies are healthy and nice sized even with arriving a week sooner than expected. It will be so much fun in your house in a few weeks when those 10 puppies become mobile! Congratulations to you & Davie!!!1

| Now you have a back up plan if Lexi decides she can't nurse 8 puppies - throw a few in with Davey! j/k Congrats. I'll bet you are having a ball with 10 babies. I can hardly handle 2 babies! Good luck! They are precious.

| ....at two weeks!!! Where has the time gone? Davie continues to be the perfect Mother,,,her two little angels are growing by leaps, but they don't need to fight for a meal. They are both very content and still sleep a lot. They are exactly 2 weeks today and still don't have their eyes open. The male is a little smaller than the female puppy and he is a little more reserved. Davie is a little more protective of her puppies than is our other female, Lexi, that has 8 puppies, 9 days older. Davie continues to raise her two little ones in her bed, and seems to like the closeness, so I am going to leave them there for a while, Both litters are in our living room so all can see and socialize.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Just beautiful! It will be fun for you to watch these two grow & see how they do (or don't) resemble any of the ones from Lexi's litter. You mentioned these litters probably being the last for both of the moms.................do you plan on keeping one or two of the pups?

| 5 weeks and oh so cute!! Oh where has the time gone for these little ones? Davie's puppies are 5 weeks old and just too cute for words. The male is the smaller of the two, but the leader of this small gang. I do allow them to play with Lexie's litter of 8, but I stay close as the 8 are just that much older and I don't want these little ones hurt. They are just starting to get teeth and do not like the gruel very much. Davie still nurses them all the time, so they really don't need the gruel. The male is just 15 ounces and his big sister is 17 ounces. I am looking for special forever homes!! Enjoy the pictures!

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | A couple of cuties there Charlene. I wondered at first what it was on the side of the face of the pup in the back in picture 1, and then realized it was his paw. He's waving "hello" to everybody!
