| I own a silky terrier, but check this board since silkies are close relations to and very similar looking to Yorkies. We got our silky when she was 10 weeks old, and her ears were flopped over. About a week after we got her, they suddenly started sticking up. It was the funniest looking thing, because she had a little head with these long ears sticking up. She looked like a little rabbit. A week after that, they started flopping over again, but a trip to the groomer and some of the hair trimmed off, and they were up again to stay. Based on that, I guess they don't start sticking up until around 3 months. By the way, our silky grew into her ears and doesn't look like a bunny anymore! Our silky had pups 5 weeks ago, their ears started out looking like triangular flaps sticking up on the side of their heads, but now they are darling floppy ears. |
