				   | I just got me a new baby today. His name is Marley and he was born on December 19, 2008. I am concerned about his floppy ears. He is absolutely adorable but I thought their ears were suppose to stand up. Does this come with age or should they already be standing up?? |

				   | Welcome sometimes the ears do not come up until they are 12 wks but if you shave the hair off this really helps sometimes & you can tape them Betty at Lakeside |

				   | Hi fallingstar I don't know about the ears--I just got Jorja a couple days ago. I just wanted to say hi and congratulations. Jorja's ears don't stand up all the time yet either...and she was born November 20. |

				   | Hi, welcome to YT. I am a fairly new Yorkie owner myself, so I am not sure, but I am certain you will get very detailed information in a response shortly from on of the more knowledgable members. Just wanted to say welcome aboard.

				   | Welcome to YT! If you do a search on floppy ears I'm sure you'll find a ton of info about it. From what I've read it helps if you massage the ears, trim the hair off and/or tape them with painter's tape. Good luck!

				   | Welcome to YT! Good info - too much hair on the ears can weigh them down, but you can also tape them- some people report really fast results with taping. They can also experience problems with their ears flopping over when they are teething. This might be helpful to you Jon-An's Yorkshire Terriers (How to train Yorkies ears to stand)

				   | Most of the time they are up by 12 weeks, I had a Yorkie before this one and her ears never went up, but she was as cute as she could be.I feel if they go up fine, if they dont fine, there are a lot of yorkies out there that their ears are down, I dont think it's a big deal as long as you have a healthy puppy. |

				   | my yorkie Sophie's ears were a little floppy when i got her. i had the groomer shave the tips and the came all the way up. i have pics in my photos if you want to look. i did'nt have to tape her ears at all. Friend as 2 yorkies and both there ear are floppy. She likes them that way and let the hair grow long. Good Luck with your new baby. |
