Ruby Is A Mommy!!!
 
We had SEVEN puppies in two hours today. We were only expecting 5. All ae good weights, 4.0 - 5.6.

Pictures to follow when my "techie" husband gets home and can post for me.

Ladies in the April Puppies thread -- I've posted some questions. Could you please see if you can help with those. Thanks.

We are still in shock at how quick and how many. Now the work begins to be sure they all thrive. ;)

Yeah Ruby!!!! We want pictures mommy :D No wonder she gained so much she was hiding two extras :rolleyes: And what great sizes... no itty bitty ones for you to worry over :D

Puppy/ruby Update
 
Thanks, puppies are just so cute.

Now if they would just get fat and sassy! Three of my tinies lost a couple tenth of an ounce last night. I gave them a Nutri-Drop each, a private nursing with Ruby (2 got it and one couldn't figure it out), and then supplemented each of them. The little boy was so empty that his tummy was gurgling and growling as he nursed on the syringe.

Ruby can't seem to get enough water. She is drinking it by the soup bowl-fulls. I'm feeding her every 2 hours, whelping pudding, chicken, puppy food, chicken broth. Her milk is in.

Does anyone give Nutri-Cal routinely to their moms? I haven't given any yet.

YEAH!!!! All my tinies are nursing on their own (at their private milk bar :D)

I was just going to supplement them as they are soooo skinny. One has its little ribs showing. But they are all latched on now.

Those babies are absolutely adorable. I'm amazed by such tiny little things when I see them in your hand. Mommy Ruby really outdid herself. She's certainly getting loads of good foods to help her take good care of those tinies.
What is the record for the number of births?
Wishing them long lives full of lots of naps in the warm sunshine.

Wow......we've got puppies popping out all over the place here on YT! And April isn't even over yet. Are there still April pups to be born???? I can't keep track of all on them on the April puppy thread.

Anyway, Congratulations to you and Ruby; 7 good sized puppies. The pictures are great. Can hardly believe one was nursing before it was all the way out??? For real???? And I love the pic of the "newborn pink girl". Was she the only female of the bunch?
Congrats again.....and keep those pictures coming.:D

Pink girl was one of two girls, we also have yellow girl. They were all so small to me, and unfortunately, Pink, Yellow and Purple (boy) are losing weight and I am having to supplement them to keep them going. We are hoping for the very best outcome here and appreciate everyone's nice thoughts and comments.

Yes, that little boy was really nursing before he was all the way out. The umbilical cords were sooo short and they weren't all the way delivered on a couple of them until the afterbirth started to release and gave us a little more room for the puppy to get out. I had seen it before with another litter, so when I saw it this time I grabbed my camera. It took several shots before I got one that you could see what was happening.
