| Okay just a quick update. She started labor at 5:30....I thought that was pretty unusual since most dogs have there pups in the middle of the night. The waterbag show at 6:05.....so we waited and waited and waited some more....she's contracting and the water bag is hanging out of her still intact. I also thought that was a little unusual. So after forty five minutes of no puppy I didnt want to take a chance. I rushed her to the emergency room. They took an Xray. Her vaginal canal is too small for the size of the puppies heads. She is getting a C-section right now. Please pray for her and her pups and thank you all so much for keeping up with her pregnancy. I will update you when I get back from picking her up in about two to three hours.

| Okay Dr. called surgery went well. She had three puppies. 2 girls one boy. The first puppy that was supposed to come out was a girl and it might not make it but they are working to keep it alive. The other two are doing well, nursing on mom. THank goodness Peanut is doing okay. So I will update again once I get them home and them I am going to bed WHEW.

| We lost one Well....lets see where do i begin....We lost a little girl... the doctor wasnt able to save one of the little girls...but the other girl and boy and doing well.....Peanut seems to be doing okay. She is eating a little and drinking water like crazy but she is just so exhausted. She is letting the puppies nurse which is a good sign but I dont think she knows what to make of these little creatures crawling all over her teets. The doctor gave us some antibiotics and we are following up with our vet in a few hours....Im just glad Peanut is okay....she is my little baby and I dont know what I would do if we lost her. I was so worried. So now I am just sitting with her making sure she is okay and making sure the puppies are getting enough to eat...so unfortunately for me no sleep YET....I will try and post some pictures in the next day or two.

| Thankyou all for your loving support. The mom and puppies are doing better than I anticipated. She is licking them and making sure they are on the nipple. If they are crawling away from the teet she brings them back. oh and now I am not aloud to help her anymore. she is protective but not to protective. I hope this is starting to sound like a supermom. The sleep not so good. I was waking up every two hours just to make sure they were all okay. I couldnt bear if I lost her or another puppy. So I am going to take some pics tonight and try and post. Thanks all again.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Congratulations on the puppies! I am so very glad that Peanut got thru everything okay and that she is taking to becoming a mother so well. I know sometimes when they have a c-section it takes a while for them to acknowledge the puppies as theirs. Sounds like Peanut is a great mom! (((Hugs))) to you and Peanut for the little girl you lost. I know the feeling of wanting to check on the pups often to be sure they are okay; I did it myself every hour or so the first few nights when we had pups last October. I will look forward to the pics and to watch the two liitle ones as they grow.
