Could you upload it in the test forum and I could check it out for you. The most common reason for it not to work is it being to large. For donating members the largest side can be no more than 125 pixels, and can have no more than 53Kb.

I'm so excited! I downloaded the program and mean to play around with it soon. Does this program resize pictures so we can get them down to the 200 kb size YT requires? My old photoprogram I used to work in that came with my old printer doesn't really work on my new computer and I've been waiting until I could get into another photo program so I can resize and upload more photos of Tibbe onto YT. I'm excited about making an animated avatar of Tibbe. Thanks, Nancy!

Yes, it does resize in the editing part of the program. You can resize and put text on your pictures along with borders and frames. After you get a picture the way you want it you can open the "AniGif" part of the program and it will group several pictures into one file.

Oh, it sounds perfect and no need after all to purchase a software package! I shall donate to them. I plan to have some fun learning how to use this program and then get adventurous. I can't wait to sparkle something up! Thank you again for the info and link.

I've heard good things about Gimp, and there are lots of tutorials on the web, but I don't know anything about it. You can also do a search for "animation programs" for whatever type of mac you have.

Yes! I finally, after about 3 hours of playing around and asking my 17 year old daughter for help, figured out how to make a moving Avatar!!!! And included writing and snowflake graphics to the pictures! Oh yes, go me!

Thanks Nancy! I figure after I get a few more pictures of Izzy, I'll try to do another. She is like the second child, the first child has all kinds of pictures taken and the second child barely sees a camera. ;)

How true is that. Yeah, it's better to make another one as soon as possible, so you won't forget. By the way, in the upper right hand corner of the program, is a Help icon and it's really a great tool.

OK, so I got a new computer and it wouldn't run the old Photoshop I had, uh, borrowed from a friend, so I signed up for a $9.95 a month photoshop package. It's pretty sweet, and I get Lightroom and Photoshop.

The problem is the new version doesn't seem to come with ImageReady, and that's how I used to make avatars. It was part of the old photoshop package.

My question to any photoshoppers: Is there any way to make a gif? I'm on a mac, btw.

You might want to do a separate thread on this, I use Paintshop pro and it had a gif program. PhotoScape is a free photo editing software, that allows you to make gifs, but I don't know anything about photoshop.
