Thanks, Nancy. I'm just disappointed I got this fancy new LEGAL photoshop, and I can't do gifs like I used to with the old version!

I don't understand it, there's a very big group of avid gif makers, but many of the photo editing programs don't support making gifs and windows no longer has the capacity to view gifts from the actual page where they are located on the computer, this stopped with xp. Most people don't make them, but for the few that do, these capabilities were wonderful.

Woohoo, it can be done in Photoshop. I googled it and found a good youtube instructional video. I haven't tried to get fancy with it yet with text, etc., but at least I can animate pics :)

Here's the vid if anyone is ever curious on how to make a gif with Photoshop.

It's kind of amazing what you can find on youtube, so glad you found something, now go ahead and make some great gifs!

Nancy can I somehow take my moving avatar you made me and upload it to that program you recommended. I now have the program on my puter ready to edit my moving avatar.

Yes, but it might be hard to do unless you like doing that sort of thing, there are many more tricks involved in editing. I'd be glad to do it for you.

Thanks so much Nancy now if I remember correctly I need to send you some pics. My moving avatar is so very old - I don't even have Dara our new pup in it.

I just made an animated gif and when I try to load it to Yorkie Talk it did change my old one to the new one but then I get a message that says it did not upload. What do you think I did wrong? Thank you for your input. :-)

Well, I guess it lied, because there is my new animated gif just animating away! The big one is Baxter, he is about 4 now and the little girl is Gabi Lou. She is about 6 months now.

They often say they didn't upload because the new computers upload so fast, and it's over so quickly, that it thinks it didn't upload. So it's always best to do a visual check. Good job, it looks great!

Thank you. I was going to try the frame or something else but I couldn't figure it out easily so I just went with it as it is. The little dog that I had on there was our little Sara Jane. She passed away several months ago at age 14 1/2. It was sudden. We don't know what happened. She just started panting and breathing really hard in the middle of a Sunday night, and passed away in my arms. Very sad and traumatic! Now this little girl is keeping us busy. As well as Baxter of course. :-)
