Well isn't this about the coolest thing! Well, I guess I won't have to have Peanut (Kim) make my avatars anymore! This is just too cool. Thank you so much for the great instructions. It's really pretty easy, though I see I have a little work to do on figuring out how to get rid of the white background around my pictures. I think I know what to do, but any input would be welcome. Also, when I went back into Photoscape to TRY to fix it, I couldn't figure out how to bring my saved avatar back up to adjust the background in the pictures I used:confused: Surely I don't have to start from scratch:confused::confused: In any case, it's bedtime for me; I'll work on it more tomorrow. Thanks so much for this very helpful, FUN, thread! |

1 Attachment(s) Here is one I made! I am not happy with it, so I don't want to use it yet! I have to make changes to it. Click on it and you will see it in action. |

You can add a picture to it, and save it under a new name that way you can always go back to Kims after the holiday. |

1 Attachment(s) Here's a picture of the program, doing these things might help avoid white edges. Set the "size to 125 x 110 for rectangular pictures, and try stretching to avoid any white edges. |

I don't know how she made her shot, but this is how you can do it with the Photoscape program. Get a background paper you like. For example, I got the paper in your album, all you need is a small square or rectangle of background paper. Open it with the editor part of the program and chose "Object" at the lower left hand corner. It will show you a "T" and a double "T" choose one of these. The T stands for text, and you use this if you want to add words to your pictures. First picture is your paper with the word Moose written on it, and the second picture is a program picture showing where you will find the Text tool. |

I didnt rename it, but I did replace the file. I think that what was wrong. You made a very good sujestion. Sure enough, I manually save it as gif, and it worked. I will go back and do more fun stuff with my avatar. I thank you very much, you have being very helpful. |

You really did a good job, I have one suggestion, I think it moves a little fast. Right now your avatar is set for .27 of a second for each picture, I changed this one to 1 second for each picture, so that you can see each picture a little easier. You can vary this number and nothing written in stone, but you may want to adjust it a little. Here's the link in case the avatar doesn't show. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...cy1999/100.gif Click on it and see if you like the slower version better. I think she's more disgusted, than completely over the edge. You did a great job cropping the photos. |
Thank you. They are now a little under 1 second, but still slower than before. I am working on getting new pictures taken, by this weekend. Those are going to be edited in a much better way. Thanks again |

You could try uploading your avatar to this thread, and I could take a look at it for you. |

Push on "Post Reply" icon, then below the message box, you will see something that says "manage attachments" click on this. A new menu will open and it will allow you to choose pictures on your computer to upload. Upload the avatar, and when it's through uploading the box will close. You might have to type in a few words in the message box, or it will say message too short. |

Sure it does, but you have to be on the "advanced" page not the "quick reply". You will see the "Post Reply" on the bottom left of the page. Click on this, and beneath the message box you will see, a bunch of smileys, beneath those you will see the words Addition Options and in that section you will see the words "manage attachments." Look at my picture where it says, "right here" |
at the bottom under "posting rules" it says you may not post attachments. lol:mad: |
