The "purists" way back then would not doubt have thought it was ruining, to change from the wirey haired larger breed. They probably told those people to stop ruining the breed, telling them that if they wanted a smaller, silky coated dog to go buy a different breed, and that those silky haired, undersized yorkies were sure to have health issues. |

Umm, just a thought. OP was asking if anyone knew where she might find a golden yorkie, she was not asking for anyones opinion on the matter. If you wish to debate the ethics of breeding these, why don't you simply start your own thread. Apparently it would be a popular topic. OP, Personally, I think the partis, goldens, and chocolates are adorable. I would not pay more for one, but I have not yet heard of any health problems. Good luck in your search:) (maybe you can get in touch with bdbmawmaw...who knows what may happen down the road) |

AKC does not set the standard. And AkC has accepted them as pure bred yorkies and does register them as such. |

I am quite sure that the YTCA gets their information from solid reputable sources and its not something that they have dreamt up to stop less reputable breeders from cashing in! |
