No Marlene - that is "not" how it was. When I contacted you to tell you that I wouldn't be taking little #4 - you responded with a pm asking if there was anything that you could have done to change my mind. I pm'd you back and listed about 7 things that were bothersome "to me" after doing some research on here. But I asked you to please make public about the "possible heart murmur". You 'never' responded to me after that. Then you posted here that one pup was sold. My request about letting the buyers know is posted in this thread. "That" was the sequence of events. I have every email and you can post mine if you'd like. Marlene, 1) Do you have those papers stating that Lexi does not have a murmur? 2) I'm confused... how many vets did she see? 3) Do you have a 1 year health guarantee?

Well, I read her reply and I am counting 3 vets...she said she went for a second and third opinion and both of the other vets gave Lexie a clean bill of health.

| Thank you Willow for following my thread and being able to follow what was said. You are correct Lexi was seen by her original vet and two others for a second and third opinion. Nothing was found by the other two vets so that means she's clear of a heart murmur it's on her vet chart. Do I have to scan my health care chart in order for some people on here to believe me?! I didn't think I would ever have an issue like this on yorkietalk.

Well, I think in all fairness by how your trying to make cj125 look like by asking questions she's some horrible person I probably should add my 2 cents to this issue as well... It pains me that you had to bring the word "honest" into this thread. I have always followed your posts on this sight and with good reason. I own Annabelle who is Lexi's mother and I also own her littermate and brother Toby. When you said that your pups should stay in the 5 to 6 pound range I had to laugh. The grandma of this litter is just shy of weighing 14 pounds and their uncle Toby is 9.2 pounds. I realize that the size of a puppy's adult weight can never really be guaranteed but I think that's something in regard to the genetics that people should at least be aware of? The person Marlene and I purchased our kids from actually was a member on this sight. Her user name was ttreatsyorkies...Now, I keep in contact with her to this day, but I would like to know your explanation why you don't Marlene? I know why you don't....but would you like to share that with the rest of the viewing audience or should I? You never thought you would have an issue like this on YT? What, do you think people are stupid? It does not take a brain surgeon to go back and research old posts to get a feel for a person. I think the heart murmur concern was a quite valid one. I also think that then cj125 asking for some sort of health guarantee was not out of line considering there was a possiblilty to start with and then on top of that you chose to breed her on her first heat or didn't you tell people that either?? Your telling people you really don't have background info on Lexi because the breeder had medical conditions is a joke. I have pics of Lexi's mother, her brother, her sire and even pics of pups from a past litter of the same breeding pair and the adults they grew into. Ttreatsyorkies was a very sharing breeder medical condition or not and for you to basically pretend it was otherwise is soooo wrong. As is the subject of the health guarantee. I know you have told people you have no knowledge about health guarantee's and that you were never offered one with either of your pups when they were purchased. Hello....Umm...you sure were too offered one with Lexi! You chose to not take the health guarantee on Lexi in exchange for a cheaper price. These are your own words...."Lexi I bought from a lady in Texas. She has championship blood lines." I am holding the same pedigree in my hands that you have and champion blood lines? Are you kidding me? Nobody, is begrudging your puppies a happy forever home but don't come off like you're the victim where cj125 is concerned. It's your own words that are making you look bad! It's too bad you forgot about me and that I know so much eh?

Here's her post about the return visit. I can't find any posts where she says she took Lexi to 2 other vets. Quote:
If Lexi had been my dog that's the first thing I would have asked about... especially knowing that she wanted to breed her. I'm happy if she doesn't have it... but I point blank asked her - in this thread - if there was anything in their background. She never mentioned it. I asked her if she had a 1 yr health guarantee, several times, she still has not answered. I take that as a no. I just wanted some "honesty".

#14 Had Lexi's so called murmur been confirmed by both the other vets she would have been spayed right away just to prevent any health risks if she were to become pregnant. ?. Just like with people I got a second and yet a third opinion just to be safe with my precious Lexi. #18 You are correct Lexi was seen by her original vet and two others for a second and third opinion. Nothing was found by the other two vets so that means she's clear of a heart murmur it's on her vet chart. This has been quite an interesting thread. What an asset YT can be!

| I can't sit here and repeat myself on this thread. So if you want to keep up with it that's fine but I'm not going to continue on with this. Some people just like to start drama it seems like and well that's just not for us. We are not going to continue with the for sale thread...if someone is interested in our puppies just pm us and we'll discuss the chaos in private. Thank you to the ones that actually are keeping up with the info posted.

| Hummm I know I am still new to this site and Yorkies in general. You all have really good strong points but in reviewing some of Marlene's post she did state that Lexi's line threw big litters. It was a post where a fellow YT member was looking for a blonde. I've personally talked with Marlene on the phone and i was very comfortable about the information about the pups and their parents. Now just in general i thought was rule of thumb was not to breed until their second heat.. but there is no guarantee anywhere that there is to be a difference in one heat to the next. The only thing is the pup maybe to young. I think its up to the breeder and her vet if Lexi was in good standing/form to be able to breed. Now I have a son whois 7 months and he was born w/ a minor VSP and PFO in other words one of his valves was open and the blood flow was going the opposite way. The only long term issues if it was to cause a problem is he may have weight issues or feeding issues and would need to have medication to help. Now at 7mos they can no longer hear his heart murmur. In babies/puppies if the murmur is minor enough there are good chances they can close on their own within the first 6 months to a year. Anything after a year you would definately have it reevaluated or unless problems occur before hand. Now my son's murmur has closed on its own and you can no longer hear it. I will not have a second opinion taken unless he starts having issues in other areas that gives a sign there is still something open. This is standard w/ babies and murmurs.. Yes you can have a second opinion and when i was recently at the local ER the nurses and the Dr's treating my son could not hear his murmur and he had normal sinus rythm. You also need to understand that Marlene is a first time breeder.. You learn by trial and error. She is also a newly mother herself w/ a newborn just a few weeks old. How much harder is everyone going to be on her. I have learned a lot from this site in the last few weeks and will continue to learn. That is what we are all here for right?? Please remember its a learning experience not a war bashing hate. gleim516's Avatar Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Arizona Posts: 147 Default Blonde female Hi there I have what I would consider a Blonde. She just had her first little on 12/5/06. She had a total of 6 puppies...unfortunetly two didn't make it. The breeder I bought her from told me that all females from her line tend to give out a big litter. If you are interested let me know if not I understand good luck on your search. |
