ALL THE BEST TO YOU with Conner - does this mean he is staying ?? With that face - he should have no problem finding a new home - but if you CAN keep him ...try to remember how much HE LOVES you - you may find things get on your nerves less often....Yorkies really can be a handful and I just said to someone mine make a bigger mess in the house than my kids did I think - but in the BIG picture - they bring me far much more & I count my blessings that they're happy and better - HEALTHY

| IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER written after the author found out she was dying from cancer I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren’t there for the day. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the ‘good’ living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth. I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband. I would have never insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not have worried about grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life. I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn’t show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime. Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I’d have cherished every moment and realised that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle. When the kids kissed me impetuously, I would have never said, ‘Later now go get washed for dinner.’ There would have been more ‘I love yous’, more ‘I’m sorrys’, But mostly given another shot at life, I would seize every minute … look at it and really see it … live it … and never give it back. Stop sweating the small stuff. Don’t worry about who doesn’t like you, who has more or who’s doing what. Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us. Let us think about what GOD has blessed us with. And what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally, as well as spiritually. Life is too short to let it pass you by. We have only this one shot at this and then it’s gone. I hope you all have a blessed day. Erma Bombeck

| Just an idea -- There is a lady in Washington that started a post wanting an older Yorkie as a companion for a 4 year old Yorkie she has. She sounds like she could really give Connor a wonderful life. The distance is an obstacle but I mentioned in a post to her that with all the family and friends traveling over the holidays maybe someone could help out a little. It would be so good to find Connor a home with someone already looking to love another Yorkie!

I just saw your post .... my Toto is a TyAva baby and she is just perfect! She just turned three years this past July. Do you have a copy of his pedigree that you could post? I was wondering too if you have talked to Ava about rehoming him? People are always wanting babies from her so I'm sure she would probably know of lots who would love to give him a loving home. When we bought Toto, it was like adopting a human child ... she is picky about where her babies go!

I'm the same way, the older I get the less I care about being perfect. I think being around illness does that to you also. You begin to realize what really matters. And in the grand scheme of things, a perfect house comes, pretty low on the list. I've decided if my dogs ruin my carpet, I'm switching to hard floors.

But you're right - it could be being around illness cause it's just in the last year or so I changed how I feel about things - I used to have so many routines - work ...cleaning etc... and now - if I don't do something on a given day it's ok cause I know it'll still be waiting the next day and KIM16 ....Hang this on your fridge - it may get you thru some of those 'off' times - and just remember - he's lives for your approval & love. He'll do 'dog' things yes.... but his heart is in your hands. I have these on MY fridge just because they're SO true in your case ...the HOUSE Rules are good - but my fav is the Property lawsYorkie Property Laws If I like it, it is mine. If it is in my mouth, it is mine If I can take it from you, it is mine. If I had it a little while ago, It is mine. If it is mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way. If I'm chewing something up, all of the pieces are mine. If it just looks like mine, it is mine. If I saw it first, it is mine. If you are playing with something and put it down, it automatically becomes mine. If it is broken, it is yours Yorkie House Rules The dog is not allowed in the house. OK, the dog is allowed in the house but only in certain rooms. The dog is allowed in all rooms, but must stay off the furniture. The dog can get on old furniture only. Fine, the dog is allowed on all the furniture but is not allowed to sleep in the bed with the humans. OK, the dog is allowed on the bed, but by invitation only. The dog can sleep on the bed anytime it wants, but not under the covers. The dog can sleep under the covers, but by invitation only. The dog can sleep under the covers every night. Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the dog. Yorkie Pledge I will not play tug of war with Mommie's panties when she is on the toilet. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff I will not roll my toys behind the fridge. "Kitty Litter Crunchies" are not food. I will not eat other dogs poop. I will not lick human faces after failing pledge #4 or 5. I will not eat the disposable diapers. I will not chew on crayons, especially red ones or Mommie will think I'm hemorraging. We do not have a doorbell and I will not bark everytime I hear one on TV. I will not bite the officers hand when he reaches for Mommie's driver's license
