| New litter of pups - available soon HI! We just had another litter on 20 APR. They are gaining weight well and as of 5/5/05 had their eyes open! The parents are here with us. The father, "Ruff", is a very small male weighing only 2.5 Lbs. The mother is "Prissy". She is about 6 Lbs and a super mom. Our pups have always stayed well below the AKC standard size. So far only 2 are unclaimed. Both are males. Please feel free to go to our site and see them and their parents. www.dianesyorkies.com If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. | Hello, Thanks for asking about the pups. We prefer to keep our pups till they are 12 weeks old. That way I know their sociolization, feeding and health are right on track. OK, the bad news...price. WOW, I HATE that part of this. To be honest ALOT depends on the new owner and the future use of the animal. AS you know the size, sex, pet/show future and breeding rights are very important to a breeder and a new owner. If the Dog is to be a pet and neutered, we ask usually $900. If the Dog is for show purposes, depending on the amount of pre-acceptance work the new owner asks for we normally start at about $1250. I also hate to be so blunt, but I hope you also realise that is all dependent on if we decide (you and I) that we would even make a good match as owner and breeder. I like to stay VERY active in our pups futures, and I HOPE the new owner feels the same. We have sent pups to basically all over the US. In fact the lil guy who is my Avatar now lives in NY with his new mom. For us to ship you a pup to about anywhere in the us its about $150. We ensure ALL shots to include rabies are done and the VET health cert is also included. Also, I use Delta as they are the nicest to the pups, IF you find a breeder to ship to you ASK the carrier, then go there and see how much it is....so you know a small measure of the service your getting. ALSO, their should be tons of questions you have for your breeder. A breeder SHOULD want to know you and your home well and should be in contact with you for a long time after you receive the pup. If you want a little info or have questions PLEASE ask. Its in your and the pups best interest to KNOW as much as you can in advance. ok, one last thought: Was this too much info? I hope not. | Thanks for the info. We are waiting until end of June because my wife will be out of work (teacher) so she can take care of the pup so your time frame is pretty good. We will not be breeding, only pets. Which of the males are still available, 1, 2, or 3? Thanks. |
