| **** Red/Chocolate Yorkie**** Hi all I am a new poster here but, I did want to say that this is a great board with a wealth of info!!! I am interested in a Red and Chocolate Yorkie. I know to breeders, puppymills etc. that they may seem worthless...but not to me. I don't care about AKC, family lineage etc. just a healthy pup. I am willing to purchase a regular Yorkie as well if I can't find a red and chocolate Yorkie. Female preferably. Any leads? Thanks in advance. Gizmo's mom |

| Puppymills shpould mean something b/c you sure wont get a healthy pup from them. Plus they do not take care of the pups the way they should nor care for these poor little darlings. |

| I think Gizmo was stating that Puppymills thought Chocolate Yorkies were not worth much. She wasn't saying she would buy from them.

| Maybe it came out wrong (just typing away like I am talking with my mouth) lol I know they don't care about them because it is not what "they" consider pure bred. I am not interested in the purity in Yorkies. (eg nose so many inches, weight and height) Because I do not plan on breeding. I would take one off of someones hands that felt the pup (red/chocolate) didn't live up to their expectations. Just insanly in love with them |

| Not a problem...I understand. BELIEVE ME. I get upset as well. I actually live 10 minutes from Lancaster, PA where the puppy mill was investigated on the news last week for selling sick pups to people in the tri state area. I can hardly read the links to articles that some post on here about the abuse to pets. I probably would've reacted the same way. There is just soooo much to say but when you're typing it doesn't come out the same. Have a great day!!! Gizmo's mom |

| Stewie is red & black. Most people do not advertise the odd colors unless they are looking to make a buck. You should visit breeders and see if they have any puppies who look off-color if that's the kind of puppy you want. Stewie was cheaper than his littermates because he wasn't standard and was the largest in the litter (he's 6lbs now and has pretty much stopped growing).

| Stewie???? Stewies Mom Stewie looks like a regular Yorkie to me. Was he the auburnish (<- if that's a word) color when he was a pup like the attachment? If so, Stewie looks like a pure Yorkie to me. But, then again...what do I know??????? I just love animals no matter what breed. |

| I saw the pic you posted. He has a black nose, but has white nails on most of his toes and a white patch under his chin and on his chest. The rest of him is red/black.

| Chocolate and reds. I was told that chocolate Yorkies was a result of inbreeding, isn't this true? Wouldn't you get red ones the same way? Sylvia |
