Is there a particular reason you want a choc. Yorkie? I am just curious and do not intend to go off on you about what you want...None of us gain anything by that..I on occasion do that, however..

Hi, I might have a male chocolate yorkie for sale. He is a little over a year old. The AKC papers say he is considered liver/white. He is very cute. Great with other dogs/kids. A little shy at first, but warms up to you after a little while. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks, Sue

chocolate yorkies? Okay, now I have heard it all. What does a chocolate yorkie look like? I have to see pictures. This isn't standard. Sold with limited papers if any, right? How did one get this mix?

First of all, he is not a mix. He is AKC Registered. It is my choice to sell him with full breeding rights or limited, not yours. If AKC felt that he wasn't breedable, then they shouldn't have registered him. I really have no desire to post a picture for you to criticize. If anyone else wants to see a picture, email me privately & I will email it to you directly. He is a really great dog, and the ONLY reason I am selling him is so we can make a house payment for another month until my husband starts his new job. Dogs are a lot like people, they come in different sizes, shapes, & colors! I'm sure your dogs are "perfect".

chocolate yorkie Sorry - Did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings. I am now just returning back after a break of raising my own kids and since being gone in the yorkie knowledge biz I had never heard or seen a chocolate yorkie. I did not know that they are acknowledged by AKC. This is all new to me. So - I educated myself since the discussion started and read up and saw pictures of chocolate yorkies. I can see why some may like the look. In my own taste - they just seem washed out. This is only my opinion and preference. I was talking to a friend of mine and she loves the look. I think this is what the forum is partly about - to educate ourselves and to help one another. So sorry for the first email - did not know.

I think it was because of the color, they are supposed to be black/tan but these pups came from black/tan parents. I think it was a total fluke. I hope I'm getting this right because I can't recall 100%!!
