| Hmm I believe we have some breeders here from Canada. Hopefully they can help you out. You might have better luck trying to find something locally. Shipping alone usually runs about $200 - 250. I went to breeders.net and tried to find some breeders near you: http://breeders.net/find.php?breed_i...c1b6&country=1 Good luck finding your baby! I only paid $800 for my little guy so it is do-able!

| I am in Canada. You will find one but take your time and don't rush in to anything. You want a healthy pup and a price that you can afford so take your time. Personally, I have tried adopting from http://www.canadianyorkshireterrierrescue.com/ but they do not adopt their dogs out to people living in condos and its really hard to adopt from them. I have even tried adopting from www.petfinder.com. Again, its the issue of living in a condo eventhough dogs are allowed here. I ended up buying one because I can't live without a dog. It takes time to find but its worth taking the time.

| Why do you say it has to be shipped? You'd be much better off finding a dog locally and picking them up in person, even if you have to drive a little ways to get it. Since you're in Ottawa, why don't you try looking for some breeders in Quebec...dogs tend to be less expensive in QC than ON. Just be careful of puppymills because the laws on puppymills are not as strict in QC so there tends to be more of them. You might also want to consider getting an older dog (6+ months?) as they will be cheaper than puppies. Oh, and I'd just like to add that $800 CDN is NOT $400 US...it's more like $700 US. Good luck in your search! |
