| I want to adopt a Yorkie Girl! I am new here ... I have 2 Yorkies, 2.5 years old Pickles and 7.5 years old Trea. I've had Pickles since he was 10 weeks old and I adopted Trea (from Petfinder) last year. I was hoping that they will play together since my little one LOVES to play but Trae turned out to be very shy and very submissive Yorkie. So now I have 1 hyper and 1 very laid back . I want to ADOPT a 3rd Yorkie, a little girl this time. I've been checking Petfinder every single day and I also applied few times but young Yorkies in shelters go so fast.. I volunteer for a Yorkie Rescue in my area but a lot of dogs come from puppy mills so they usually very timid, shy and fragile. I would love to adopt a younger one with a lot of energy so Pickles and her can be playmates. I simply REFUSE to buy my dog from a puppy store or any backyard breeder. I know too much about puppy mills and will never do anything to contribute to the torture these poor dogs have to endure because of all the demand for puppy stores. I am rambling here I know. I just feel bad every time i look at all those homeless dogs and for not being able to take them all home with me. I wish I could adopt them all. Here is a question: Does any of you know about a yorkie girl that needs a home (puppy to app. 3 years old?) Maybe in your local shelter, maybe someone just rescued one, maybe someone needs to give one up ? Let me know please |
