Thank you all for the help. I am more than willing to take these dogs into my home and help them get the love that they need. I just talked to one of the girls that I work with at Petco and she is more than willing to help out with getting these girls baths and hair cuts and getting the nasty eye stains outta there. I will ask around to see how many people are willing to donate $20 or more to help rescue these babies.

Lily's mom..I posted earlier that it may be a good idea to either post this in the general message board..or to start a new thread letting them know to come over hear to read this.I'm not of the rules on it..but I' think if we just post to let everyone know that donations are needed..it might help.

As much as it angers me, I cant stop looking at the listing on yahoo about these girls. It just really really ticks me off that some one could do this to these poor little girls.
I know that I have said it a few times before but I really would like to take Coco. I notice that on a few times she was refered to as shy. I think she would do wonderful with me since my house is quiet. I have a chinese crested/carin terrier male that is nuetered named Memphis. He is a little lover. I take him almost everywhere with me since he is small. I have so many little doggie things like carriers and designer leashes that i have collected over time. I also have all kinds of little clothes since I make most of them myself. My boyfriend makes fun of me and tells me that I am making my dog into a pretty boy since I dress him up in all the cute little things. I wasn't planning on getting Memphis. I was actually looking for a small female yorkie or maltese. A friend of mine called me one day and asked if I would be interested in a crested mix and since that was the first breed that interested me, I thought why not check it out. Then I found out that this poor little pup was born into a house where the people were breeding carins and cresteds just to make money and the two breeds accidently mixed if you know what I mean, so they stood in the grocery store parking lot and handed puppies out to whomever would take one. Some guy took this one because he thought that it would be a great bait dog for his young pit bulls so that they would get the hint on how to fight. This guy told another guy later that night about the pup at a bar and the guy he told knew my friend and was an animal lover so he called. We went the next day for me to talk this guy outta this pup. $500 later I was on my way home with this pup. I love him with all my heart though and wont give him up for anything. I like the smaller dogs because I occasionally travel to see family in Arizona and I have all the really cute little carriers that are airline approved so my dogs get to fly with me right at my seat for an extra charge.

Sorry to babble on about Memphis. I know that I am new and I just jumped in to help with these Maltese girls and no one really knows me so I thought that I would tell you all a bit about myself and love for animals. I work with dogs everyday all day since I am a groomer. And I wouldn't change a thing. I treat all dogs like children unless they try to eat my arm or something like that, then I just treat them like children from a safe distance. LOL

I will do whatever I can to help out when it comes to these dogs, including driving to wherever I have to in illinois to rescue these girls.

Kelly it's so nice to hear how much you love animals .I really appreciated reading all you wrote about yourself. You sound like you would totally give the little girl CoCo a great loving home. I'm not sure ,but it does look as though they were asking for others who would want to adopt them .

Kristy- I pmed you. But I also want you to know that I have friday and saturday off so if you find something out let me know. I will be in the car in a heartbeat if needed. I mapquested the town that this lady said that she lived in and I think it is about the same distance from me to her as it might be for you. I am about 30-40 min north of Rockford. Depending on how much of a hurry i am in and traffic.
