I was looking at country home yorkies ( I live in RI) when i was looking for a yorkie... there arent any breeders in RI that i would find
I ended up going to petshop route (before i knew about puppymills) but was still interested in reading the thread about country home seeing its (almost) local - where can i find it i tried to do the search

Hello. I live in RI too, and I actually got my yorkie from a local breeder. She is a very experienced breeder, breeds to the standard, and you can tell her pups are happy and healthy. That is the best combination. I brought my little Lola to the Vet not too long ago, and he said I have a very healthy yorkie in my hands. So, I am glad that I chose a good breeder, because at the time, I didn't know as much as I know now. So if you look in RI, just make sure you feel comfortable with a breeder before buying a pup from him/her. For me, I can just tell if the breeder cares. There is a certain way they talk, the things they talk about, the things they want to know about you, the things they can say about themselves, the references they give you of past buyers, the vet references they give you. Just try your best to make sure you are comfortable with the whole process and that the pup is a healthy and happy one.

did anyone hear anything about Smartpuppiepets (Peabody, Massachusetts)?

About homecountryyorkies...i didn't find anything on the search too...but i went there...woman seemed very strange...does not remember the dob of her puppies. She also told me that she has one more yorkie, but she is younger. On my question "are her ears up or down?" she answered that she is not sure....

Well in the future..when we are ready for another... would you be willing to share your breeder info? It wont be now as snickers is still young and having a puppy is new for us but i can tell you now we are yorkie obsessed already lol she is so spoiled
