good breeders of yorkies in Georgia.. I'm trying to stay clear of the internet sites to purchase my yorkshire terrier puppy but it's hard. I live in Georgia haven't lived here long,I don't have people to ask where to look. Have found web sites of so called good breeders pups are very high priced. Not even sure what is a fair price to pay for a pet quality yorkie. Any suggestions on where to look first? |
You can try looking at the YTCA here's a link. The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America |
I bought bailey from the internet before I joined this site and read all the lies, tricks and games they play I want to get another baby in the near future now I'm terrified to trust any of them. |
I recommend TyAva and Vangogh Yorkshires. If either of those two don't work they both can recommend breeders in the area that may fit what you're looking for. |

Thank you I will look them up :) |
VanGogh, i.e. YT Member Topknot Between the two, I would definitely go with VanGogh Yorkies - who is a member here. I see her at shows quite often, and I like what I see. Here YT screen name is Topknot |

My Emma is a Vangogh bred Yorkie. I am so head over heels with her. Health is what is important to me and she is healthy as she is beautiful. Very happy with the process of buying a puppy and the support I get. |
Thank you your baby is beautiful I checked her website no pups available. I will keep checking. Thank you all for your help. |

Carter's Yorkies in GA are good. Check out her website, she is AKC breeder and has championship bloodlines. She doesn't keep them til 12 weeks and lets hem go early if they are ready. fltekdvr just got theirs and are very happy. Chester is beautiful. I researched for four months before I decided to go with a Pensacola local breeder. I would have bought from Carters too. Good luck |

They have been breeding for years. They are fair and honest. I did tons of research before finding Gracie..(inclusive of the entire Atlanta area for a radius of more than 100 miles.) I got more red flags in the conversations than you can imagine. The ones I saw did not seem healthy. Then there was Gracie, her sister and brother fat and happy in the kitchen just looking adorable! |
Omg that is so funny u said that. I got bailey from him. The one thing that I was bothered by was I didn't ask to see the parents I keep kicking myself in the butt for that I know better. Bailey is a beautiful pup don't get me wrong he is healthy, smart and seems so far to have the correct coloring and hair texture, maybe I just need to quit fretting about it and go back to him and ask this time lol. Do you have pictures of Gracie?would love to see her.thanks for the reply. |

Bailey is a little bigger now I will take some more of him soon. Would love to compare the two. How old is Gracie? Bailey will be five months on the 28 and he was just at the vet at 4 months his weight was 2.2 I changed his food hoping he will gain some weight. Did you see the parents ?. |

Gracie was born 11/13 so she is right at 9 months old today. She was a teensy thing when we brought her home at 8 weeks. She weighed 2 lb 13 oz. At 15 weeks old she weighed 5.8 lbs. She has the long ballerina legs and a slim body. She's such a lovie. Most of the yorkies I had seen before her had the short legs and wide bodies. I did see the parents. Mr Howard had told us that he didn't think she would get over 4 lbs but alas she hovers around 7 :) That's fine. I adore her. Wow sounds like Bailey is a tiny tot. They do have more than one set of parents they breed with so Bailey may not be from the same ones Gracie is from. |
Well Gracie is beautiful! That is right in line with what the guide line say yorkie's should weight. When I got bailey he had two pups one boy one girl I wanted a boy so I really didn't choose him,he was just meant to be mine.it's been really nice talking to you and thank you for the chance to " talk yorkie" I have enjoyed it. |
Hi, new YT member here (and hopeful yorkie parent-to-be soon) and I was wondering if y'all could provide any additional information about the Howards from Jasper? I've done some google searching to find them, but can't find any info online. Hope I get a baby as healthy and cute as y'alls! Thanks in advance. |
I will find his number for you . As soon as possible. :) |
Check your private messages I sent info. |

I know this is kind of an old post, but how much do your dogs weigh now? (The ones that got their pets from Charles Howard). I'm kicking myself because I didnlt see the parents and already had a Yorkie when I got Abby. My first baby is 6lbs and Abby is a whopping 14.5. Don't get me wrong, she is perfect in every way and extremely smart, but I can't help but think he doped me into believing Abby would be much smaller. She was right at 2 pounds when I took her to the vet the first day I got her. |

Good luck in your puppy search. |
I would also recommend Lisa @ Carter Yorkies. We purchased a little guy from her in May and he has been perfect in every way, his vet here in Florida is very impressed. |
thank you |
I've been trying to e-mail Tina for a couple of weeks, but haven't received a response. |
