| Looking for Adult Female Yorkie for Pet Hi Folks, My wife and I currently have a 3.5 yo yorkie named Buddy. He has been with us for 3 years and has brought immeasurable joy to our home. We have been talking for some time about expanding our family to include a female to give Buddy some additional companionship. We have been looking for and adult female between the ages of 2 and 5 years, but have had no luck. It seems that the only Yorkies that are available are puppies. Does anyone have wisdom to offer? |

| Sometimes breeders retire their breeding females after five years or so. Maybe a post on the breeder board would help you locate an adult. Also, if you peruse the breeder websites they occasionally have adults for sale. Good luck! |

| we have a female We have a female yorkie that we purchased for our breeding program, but won't work because she never got all of her adult teeth. She has 4 in front instead of 6. I don't feel right breeding her and selling the pups if mom is not up to standard. It totally breaks our hearts. We love her so much. She is only 8 months old, but she doesn't act like a pup. We have 4 other dogs and they all get along great. She is going to have a blue coat eventually and is 4.75 lb. She is one of the most beautiful Yorkies that I've ever seen and it kills me not to breed her. I attatched a pic, but they are not the greatest. you can e-mail me if interested danschaben@frontiernet.net. We do need to get $1,500 out of her which is less than we paid, but we also thought we were getting a breeding dog.
