| .....and the only reason you've ever posted here is to sell dogs. After 20 years of raising Yorkies I'd think there'd be so much information & joy you could share with us?

Sad to see someone with supposedly so much yorkie experience just using YT to make a buck and contribute nothing to the forum.

| I think that everyone had legitimate questions about the said - puppies for sale, and that's really not a bad thing. Everyone should be encouraged to do their research when getting a new furry family member! ^^ A lot goes into truly breeding puppies, and there are many reputable breeders and people who have bought puppies from reputable breeders here. The people that are asking a plethora of questions here are people who are concerned about the well - being of the puppies and of the people who would potentially buy them. I think everyone can agree that no one wants the heartbreak of investing in a new puppy, and then something bad happens to them. By that point, you're already attached. I think there were just a lot of red flags in your initial post as well. For instance, it hits a nerve when someone tries to advertise puppies they're selling as 'small'. There is no website that we can see any information whatsoever on the puppies, the dam/sire, policies, health guarantees, etc. This is 2013: most businesses have some form of web page, Facebook page, and what have you with information on them. Also, as I'm sure you've seen, advertising that your male would make a good stud is not encouraged. You do not want to attract that kind of attention to your puppies. That will encourage backyard breeders to try and snag them and use them for their own monetary purposes. I know that you're offended by the tags in this post, and a couple of them are pretty nasty, but maybe you should absorb the information and questions that have been posed here and use that information to help better your practices if you're choosing to continue breeding. Build a website, have their genetics tested, research more into breeding. I would say after 20 years, especially with all of the newer technologies that we have, that a lot of things have changed. It would be beneficial to your puppies, your future customers, and to you.

| I know that some of the posts may have come across as being harsh or stern...but if you look around at some of the posts on here, you will see a lot of heartache over problems with bad breeding and/or bad breeders. Not saying you are one of them...just saying that it's probably made a lot of people here more cautious than your typical person, who haven't seen or been through the effects of bad breeding first hand. If you look around here, you just feel for the people and the pets that are unnecessarily going through trauma, heartache and financial hardship when the problems could have possibly been prevented by responsible breeding and/or buying from a responsible breeder. I've only been here a short time and already, I can think of a few recent threads of heartache due to bad breeding/breeders. Last edited by theporkieyorkie; 08-15-2013 at 01:25 PM. |
