Donating YT 10K Club Member | Holly is USDA licensed commercial breeder and it's these breeders who supply puppies to pet stores. http://www.aphis.usda.gov/animal_wel...rt_holders.txt

| missouri breeder Holly Silkwood I already gave her $100 deposit before I knew about all this. I have since contacted her and asked to see the puppies and the parents. She stated the pups are only 2 weeks old and that she would let me come to see them in a couple of weeks. If I can find another female pup I may just forget about her and lose me deposit. |

You may just have to consider it a loss. Trust me , you stand to lose a lot more when you buy from a puppy mill.

| I know it is sooooohard to wait......but I would suggest you put your time and energy into finding your BREEDER first....Find a breeder that you trust, that you have gotten good feedback on, ....when you find your reputable breeder, you will find your puppy....she will have your baby. You can be stock piling your money, and when you find your breeder, and your pup is born.....because reputable breeders usually have their babies spoken for and they work off a waiting list of people wanting their pups, you will have the money saved up to buy your HEALTHY, HAPPY, WELL SOCIALIZED, baby.....at 12 - 14 weeks of age!!!!! Meanwhile, buy "Yorkies for Dummies" and "Yorkshire Terriers: A Smart Owners Guide" and be reading all about what you can expect in a Yorkie, care and feeding and training a Yorkie, what to look for in a breeder, a vet, and a groomer, toys you need, etc.... |

| Oh my gosh I know this a long shot and this forum is over a year old. We just got our 5 year old male yorkie from a neighbor. We went back through his paperwork and found that te original breeder is listed as Karen Silkwood from Oxly MO. Shows he was bought from a fairfax VA petland store. Our Riley is 12 lbs (5 lbs over the highest weight for a yorkie) has horrible joint damage, had a collapsed trachea when he was only 8 weeks old when he was bought from that Karen breeder. We just found all this info today and I'm furious. We looked her up, she is a puppy mill breeder! |
