This will be the only time im going to respond to anything.

Here goes:

This is a free country where nobody is forced to like another person's opinion. As long as they are doing right by there dogs, cats,horses,etc, and going through the process not haphazardly, its not really my business to be bashing.

I myself, have not bred a tiny and I don't feel comfortable doing so, I'd rather leave it to those who have the knowledgeand commitment for it. I have close friends who breed Chihuahua's and they are dedicated to them.

And yes, my morkie is the daughter of my male. All my dogs are loved and raised in my household like a part of the family.

If your not interested in the puppy, why bother trashing a thread that some of us look forward to seeing.

And that is the last I will say bout this. I don't believe this thread is productive at all. Which is sad. Debates are one thing, personal bashing is another.

That's just it, as long as someone is doing right by their dogs, however, breeding a small female isn't doing right by your dog. Misleading the public isn't doing right by the offspring of your dog. By the way, no one is suggesting you can't breed Chihuahuas, they are a toy breed like the Yorkie and there's nothing wrong with breeding them, but experienced breeders know that you are putting a dog at risk when you breed a yorkie who is under 5 pounds. Yorkietalk has many members who are advocates for the dogs, and we appreciate those who educate others.

It is only fair for others to see what is really going on here. I guess that my opinion is far different than yours when it comes to ethical breeding. Sorry, but I do not believe that any personal bashing has come from this thread. The only thing that has been discovered is the truth. I wish that I had known the truth before my first Yorkie came along. BTW~I have a Morkie too. He's from an Amish Puppymill auction. The Amish in particular are notorious for the cruelty to their breeding stock. Puppymills are were brokers purchase their dogs from never knowing what type of living conditions they came from and truthfully not caring either. They are in it only for the money. Live and learn........

Its not bashing its exposing for what it is. It is this mindset that keeps puppy mills and brokers and pet stores going. We probe those who are obviously dishonest because we can and we should.

I have paid more than I can afford and gone without to care for a pup that was brokered out by people like this. The difference between you and "us" is that we don't choose to turn a blind eye to what is going on to this breed, we look at it head on everytime we rush to a vet or take in another rescue. I love my pups like family too, and as long as I can I will make sure that I speak up for all of them who are suffering at the hands of people like this. Just as I stand in the cold outside the Pet Store with my sign- if I can save one family, one puppy from the horrors of what is really going on in the race to sell a YORKIE to people like you and me....its worth every second. Its the least I can do for the breed.

p.s. I am not at all an activist either, I am a heartbroken owner of a beautiful brokered pup...

And this is where I would agree. I don't believe in puppymills, never have, never will. But nothing good comes from assuming.

Also, just to clear up a point so there
are no misconceptions, I kept my little girl because she was smaller and I didn't feel right selling her. We fell in love with her, and have no desire to breed her.
