| Wanted To find a Parti (Tir color Biewer-no inbreeding) breeder AKC registered dogs only. Not downsizing-I prefer "teapots" actually Offering after adoption support, contact etc Does genetic testing, screening, DNA Has health contract Is knowledgeable of breed specifics Practices Responsible Breeding Truly loves their dog, not using them just as breeders I'm not looking to add a pup in the immediate so please don't offer me one. I'm looking to find a breeder I will get a pup from when we are ready to add an addition and would like to get to know the breeder prior. I would love to find someone in my area or get a referral to someone close to me. At the point we agree we are a match, then we'll still need to find the right pup...I'm an open book I wouldn't expect to be a choosy/picky buyer being nosy asking questions evaluating a breeder and not have the same done to me...in fact I respect you more for putting me through the same as I listed above. Previously I have had my dogs shipped to me and I'm open to that but I'd rather get one in person, if possible-I had to do shipping before because I could not find a breeder in my area-I fell for the dog and not the breeder- I was also burned by the breeder who shipped me a dog sending me a sick dog from out of state. I love my Elvis but I learned my lesson in getting him-I refused to send him back to someone who was a bad breeder and did not take care of him despite a replacement healthy pup being offered but I don't want end up with another sick dog again, or supporting financially a bad breeder. Feel free to check out my profile, posts, etc on here as I hope you would... |

| Just to clarify Are you looking for a Parti breeder (AKC registered) or a Biewer breeder? Or Either? Teresa |

I'm under the impression 'both types of Yorkie' produce tri-colored Yorkies and they are basically the same...I know some take offense to that but it's not intended. It's my understanding they are from the same lines and were just separated out and thus had the lines defined differently so they're cousins in the least... I do prefer tail docking though...not for looks only but for injury prevention. I forgot to add even though I'd assume it would be standard tails docked, dew claws removed...and they wouldn't give out a pup under 12 weeks, I'm not necessarily only interested in a young pup, at the time we decide to adopt another Furkid. I know many breeders retain pups to see if they are of show or breeding quality and later when they are not need to re-home them as pets...but right now we're not ready to adopt just to start finding the right breeder.

| Ok, Gotcha. Yes, you are correct about them basicly being the same dog - they just developed in different countries. If you are looking for a dog with a cropped tail however you will need to look at Parti breeders since the Biewer has a full tail. Good luck in your search, there are several very good Parti breeders out there. Teresa |

| There are many threads on here that discuss the Parti’s and Biewers with many good breeders on both sides with extensive knowledge about the dogs they are breeding. I would not hesitate to contact serious breeders from both side with any questions you may have and or possible guidance that can helping you in choosing the right dog for you. Good luck in your researching and hope you find the perfect pup to add to your family. |

| Injury prvention? I haven't heard that before and never considered it with mine...they are all at least 3 years old with full tails and we've not had any problems Stubby tails are cute but that full tail is beautiful...you don't know what you're missing! |

My Bf had a whippet/Rhodesian cross...obviously not a candidate for even considering docking...she had about 4 tail injuries in her 11 years...but then again I've met many a long tailed dog that has never had issue either...I'm a bit of a paranoid safety firster...as long as it is a responsible licensed vet doing the docking, cropping, removing in their office....
