| Looking for a new addition Hello all. I know this will be a crazy request but here it goes. I am looking for a puppy that was born on October 14th. It seems weird I know but I am trying to heal my heart a little. My husband and I lost our baby on that date several years ago. It is still terribly hard on that day each year, I usually just take the day off so I don't cry at work. We have tried for another baby and it just isn't going to happen for us. We have both been blessed with children before we met but we wanted one together. I thought if I had a furbaby born that day, it would be a day of celebration instead of sadness. Nothing can replace what we lost, just trying to make a different memory. I live in western KY area and I am willing to travel to find the right baby for us. Please don't think I have lost my mind. We have Harley, who is about 5 1/2 months old and I think he would love a playmate. We have plenty of room and love for a new addition. If anyone has a lead on a puppy for us please let me know. Gender doesn't matter to us, just a health baby. Thanks for listening to my crazy rambling. Laurie |

We couldnt keep him cuz we had a baby who was born prematurely and he required nebulizer treatments every 2 hours for 7 months. The doctor felt the new puppy might have been making my sons breathing problems worse. He was with us for 4 months before we found a suitable home for him. Anyway, that little puppy brought so much joy to us on my lost son's birthday. It did brighten all of our days. I think its a fantastic idea to get a puppy born on Oct 14th. | |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Laurie, I think it's a wonderful idea to get a pup with that birth date. Bringing a new life into your home on what has been a sad time for you would certainly give you happy memories of this date. I know new memories can't replace your sad ones, but at least this day can be associated with good times now too. Plus...I think Harley would thoroughly enjoy a playmate. lol...I just told my dh last night, I think puppies should be brought into a home by 2's... he of course had the typical dh reaction

| Thank you everyone! My search continues. Harley has been such a blessing to me (really all of us). I got him on my birthday, July 4th, the day our baby journey ended. I turned 42 and that was our deadline. I knew we wouldn't try forever because with increased age comes increased risk. I am counting my many blessings. I have "mommy" years left and maybe foster care (for skin kids) is the path my husband and I will take. Thanks again for all the posts. This place has helped me more than I could ever say. I am sure we will find Harley a playmate too! Laurie |

| Oh sweetie my heart goes out to you all. I agree it's a wonderful idea! Have you looked in the nursery section on yt for your baby? Breeders often discuss births there. Just a suggestion.

The other suggestion I have, and it would be a wait, is to wait and pick up your pup on Oct14th.
