| NY'er wants a small Yorkie! I'm looking for a small Yorkie -- I will take a boy or a girl. Is anyone selling or know of a reputable breeder in the NYC or NJ area? |

| I'm headed there today... but just a tad leary. All that I'm reading about pupply mills and "backyard" breeding. All the AKC Breeders in NY & NJ, however... don't have any pups right now or haven't returned my calls yet!!! |

| I'm just getting back to this thread... jcarlson... ignore my PM... I hadn't seen your post yet when I responded YOU ARE very nice!!! Well... guess what? I went to Ivan... and brought home my Maximus on Tuesday November 1 !!! I love Maxi so much!!! He's adorable. Problem, however... he has conjunctivitis and kennel cough. I took him to my vet just yesterday and he's on antibiotics. I called Ivan and he sort of dismissed it as a possible cold and said the conjunctivitis diagnosis was "strange" -- anyway -- he does seem trustworthy although I don't agree with some of his puppy raising methods. I'm not complaining... I just know I will do things differently. ie, he told me to feed Maxi roast beef and chicken nuggets. I've been reading that "human" food lacks balanced nutrition for doggies and it also creates bad habits -- they'll be begging all the time. I haven't been giving Maxi the chicken nuggets or roast beef (I don't even eat red meat myself!) and Ivan disapproved of that -- if anything he says... wean him off. That make sense... because Maxi definitely wasn't eating the dry food or the cesars wet food. The vet put him on the prescription wet food. He wouldn't eat it last night... but licked his plate clean this morning. So, with this in mind, do you guys think I should go ahead and give him the chicken nuggets and roast beef? or do I keep moving forward with balanced, nutritious puppy food? Maximus is 12 weeks old and he's 3 lbs. He's so beautiful. I'm so worried, I just want him to be well. I hope the antibiotics makes the cold go away. The hacking cough is scary!!! Poor thing. Ivan said if those antibiotics don't work -- he will have his vet give me something that he thinks is more appropriate for colds (Zitrimax?)... I will try and post pics... | I don't mean to alarm you but there is a dangerous dog flu going around that presents like kennel cough. I have never heard of feeding a dog fast food, the best food IMO is called Wellness. |

| Hannah... Yes, that is scary! What does that mean? Would he require different treatment? Or will it just need to run it's course like any other virus? This is so upsetting. Why couldn't he just have been healthy? |
